Rezzies Last Night

So yeah. I trust you've all read the match report, and a cracker it was too.

Unfortunately, I believe the Heybride following were even more disappointed last night to find all the toilets locked and the clubhouse / bar closed. They were getting a bit restless. Anyone know why the clubhouse and toilets were locked?

It's just the little things, that's all...

My point exactly. I thought that maybe the bar doesn't usually open for a midweek game, but apparently it does.

If I was playing for City reserves and went all the way to Heybridge, I'd be rather annoyed if the bar wasn't open after the game so I could have a drink (Coke, naturally).

The bar was not open for the very simple reason that nobody had told the bar manager that there was a game on. On that note I have a relatively simple question for everyone: Who do you ring if the bar is shut when it should be open?

Is it

A) The bar manager who has the keys

B) The Club secretary who has the bar manager's number or

C) The chairman's wife.

Answers on a postcard please.

Is it C? Someone told me she does all the hiring and firing these days.

Hang on a minute, CZ.

I think that James and Vickie do an excellent job in the clubhouse. Everyone makes mistakes, the odd administratve [****!!****]-up. It happens.

Apart from anything else, they would have a jolly good claim for unfair dismissal if they haven't been given the correct written warnings and all that stuff.

Does their job description include unlocking the toilets, by the way?

It might be a good idea for their telephone number to be displayed somewhere in the event of a repetition on Saturday week. It would have to be outside the clubhouse, of course. If it was inside and the clubhouse was locked, nobody could see it.

Very True, at least the admin [****!!****]-up wasn't as severe as Lenny Piper to Farnborough for a back of crisps and a kit-kat chunky.

I do also like the barmaid screening process that James has obviously brought it, I can't remember the last time a ugly bird served me up there!
