No - indeed I believe there's a thread on your forum about changing to ethical kits... bigcry

I'm not a member of MyFC yet (thinking about it), but that wouldn't really be a bad thing would it?

Well, as we've had about 5 different tops in the last 5 years, I think we could do without another change.

It was just on the back of someone else apparently suggesting the opening of a local kids' centre by raising the membership by £5, it all made me feel a bit like a famine victim holding my palms out for food...

Patronising as f***!

So you want to invest £35 in the club? Join the Fleet trust instead, go to a few games, buy a shirt.
Whats the difference? The club will be instantly £7 better off for a start! And you will have as much of a say in running the club as you will have as part of MyFC...

Because I do feel there is something different about the MyFC idea. You might disagree, but you don't have to put £35 in if you don't want to. Even if it's only a small degree of influence, it's still something I'm very interested in. You weigh things up differently, but that's my feeling on it.

G'wan so - sell it to me. What is the benefit to giving MyFC the £35 as opposed to giving it to the club?
Now, don't be quoting me the website bollix about choosing the team, deciding transfers etc - because that is not ever going to be possible/practical. Give me YOUR views...
Honestly, am interested - if you sell it well, maybe others will listen!

The chance to influence the way the teams run, even if it's only to a small degree. The chance to get involved with something that might make a difference to the way football's going in this country. The chance to make sure that at least one club definitely isn't going to be asset stripped. The chance to see behind the scenes and get properly in depth.

The entire way the thing's laid out fascinates me, and I think £35 for a year is well worth it to get involved.

I don't think I'm going to have sold you on it, but I'm sold on it.

Do you REALLY, HONESTLY think you are going to influence anything? Do you think you are going to see "behind the scenes and get properly in depth"?

How can £35 for a year prevent Fleet being asset stripped? Before MyFC turned up, the only assets were the players, and throwing money at a club will not prevent anything happening when ye all get bored and walk away after a year or 2 maybe 3!

Am not having a dig at you personally - most of the MyFC who have posted here are more than happy to say "Great idea, just not at MY club" That says it all for me!

That's the thing - £35 a year wouldn't put any club in a more secure position. £7,000 a year probably wouldn't help most clubs that much either (if we figure on 20,000 split across 100 clubs). £550,000 a year? I can see that making a difference.

Like I said, even if it's just a small amount of influence, it'll be interesting. I think the transparency's bound into the model for MyFC, and it'd struggle to work any other way.

Also, if I join now, I'll only have to wait about 400 years for my ride in the limo. Happy days.

Right Matt, as long as you and the other 20,000 make your cheque out for £14,000 each (see, am not taking inflation into account, am good like that) you can have your limo ride!

When you put it like that, I think I need to wait to find out if it's a classy limo, or one of those stretch ones with a telly and a bar in the back.

In the same way, Fleet fans will wait to find out if MyFC are a bunch of charlatans intent on playing FM2007 for real, or are genuinely good for the club/game in general.

AFF, simple - set up a website, MyElectricBill.com Offer 50,000 people the chance to own a share in your bill, they can pick how you pay it, what supplier you have etc.

LOL - i might start myporsche.co.uk - you can choose the colours, trim and optional extras (it does however cost an additional £5 to have a choice on the extras too!)
