thats a bit of a silly post glover as ultimately all organisations have to trust their chosen executive servants and should MyFC succeed in this deal then they will also.....

whilst talking I think that this is an excellent money making scheme from the young mr brooks and will make him a rich man.....I also think that as the ebbs fans have no choice then they should engage the deal with much vigour....take the money...welcome the genuine subscribers who will become fans to the fold (a possible extra 1k plus?) and enjoy the ride.....

brooks has nowt to lose....ebbs fc have nowt to lose....the only losers will be 50,000 armchair managers who are harmless and will never get to pick a football team in a month of sundays......and for 35 squids nor should they....I've spent millions and never picked a team yet... grin

come to think about it I quite like idea of owning a part of ebbs and getting on fartarses case.... devil

You look....you learn & make your own mind up ! it's a game of opinions Brian.

When you have a spare year, read all the historical posts. Disagreements a plenty as to who should be in the team, what formation should be played & indeed who played well...even down to man of the match arguments ! If us 50 or so loyal posters can't agree, which is fair enough, then I look forward to the 20,000 + voting on each issue !

However, for what it's worth, try & buy Joe Cole in the transfer window....great player !

I'm still extremely iffy about the idea that fans picked the team mainly because the only person who knows the teams strenghts and weaknesses is the manager Personally I think you should have the vote to give the manager back his powers to pick the team but hey that won't happen

 

Don't get me wrong I'm sure there are plenty of benefits but I just need to get used to the idea Its a strange time to be a GNFC/Ebbsfleet fan at the mo

I'm a MyFC member.

Personally, I'd vote against anything that isn't good for EUFC. I'd also like to see the current board ratify decisions so that anything as you described could be sent back to the MyFC membership for amendment and another vote. Saying that, from what I've read on here you're not fond of the current board.

My main point is that the vast majority of MyFC members want to make this venture a success. Look on it this way - you could get a new investor who took 51% of your club with the intention of milking you all for as much as he could, leaving EUFC bankrupt.

We're not in it for the money. Granted, it's an unusual way to run a football club, but it's this sort of innovation that made our country great - trying something new can't be a bad thing, can it??
