A sensible opinion from an original fan of GNFC.

even though i understand your agument about this being good for our club but, even if this club gets to the premireship, is it still the local club full of hard working and honest players. the club will lose its personality, look at the things that have changed in the last year, new name, Charlie Macdonald has left along with Mark Debolla, Jon Keeling, Rob Quinn, Onome Sodje, Ross Smith and Mike Mckenna. What personality has the club got left now?

Nobody has said that and if you knew anything about the club you'd know that most of the team are not from local areas.

I stand with people who travel up from all over Kent and discussion always comes down to why do local people not support their club.

Yes there there are a few local supporters (you) that care about the tradition of the Fleet, but not enough.

There is still a place for all Fleet fans, but now we will be everyone's second club and finally the club will have some cash!

Let's get behind it!

I see what you are saying and you seem to be the only person who is acknowledging my view... but like you say, because people round here don't give a stuff, this has happened, and that is why it's frustrating and upsetting.

I'm sad about it all and a lot of people here are too for these reasons, but today is the first day this has all come out.

It will just take some time to adjust to.

i cannot understand some of the comments regarding people attending games.

Everyone knows that we need more people to get to matches. I would admit that i have not seen many games this season, partly through other commitments and partly through apathy resulting from the name change etc.

However if we are to achieve the desired increase in fans people are going to have to attend for the first time. some people seem to be suggesting that this is against the rules, and you can only go to games if you are an established fan.

I am sure that the Myfc people will not be wearing placards to identify themselves so what is the difference between them and the guy who has just bought a flat over the road. They will both pay their 13.00, which is 13.00 more than we would get if they didnt bother.

We all had a first game once, and we all saw enough to make us come back again and again.
