20000 v 1000

Seriously, does anyone doubt that guy's a troll/wind up merchant/whatever you want to call it? Don't feed him and he'll get bored.

edit: and for anyone who was interested about it - here's a good example of the wisdom of the crowds. Even if 'thegaffer' is a member of MyFC, can you imagine 20,000 people taking his suggestions seriously?

I'm not in any way defending thegaffer. I think he's a phony having a laugh. And I agree with you. I don't in any way consider my new support of the club as on an equal par with those who have been loyal for years. You'll find that sentiment shared by the vast majority of MyFC members.

We're passionate about the concept, and we will grow passionate about the club over time. For some members who don't already have a strong allegiance to a club (like me), EUFC will become their first club. For others who already have a primary club, but still strongly support the concept, EUFC will become a second or third club. They may not ever be as passionate as you are, but their financial support can be helpful nonetheless.

But let us all unite.

Hmmm.... MFCFC?

Why is everyone getting the hump, it may never happen!!! Even if it does we can be called The Co-Op ooops no thats been done.

The part about voting players in and out is a stupid idea and wont work, and I don't think it will happen,If you play a game on Saturday another one Tuesday players take a knock, will have to be fitness tested before the game, so no way people can dam vote, thats a silly impractical idea, the head coach or what ever they call him will, as he is there day to day, unlike share holders from out of town.If they were called Net work rail, and giving the club £700,000 would you still be moaning??? it happens, try Man U, Liverpool,Chelsea, has happened to them is effect. At the end of the day it will be run by a Co-Op with figures heads, prob our board plus a couple of others from myclub. Thats how I see it. It will be Ebbsfleet, with a little more money. When Eurostar, took on the sponsorship, they could have done this but they never, even though rumours we abound that they would build us a new stadium, its no closer so was just rumours. If Eurostar had taken us over again would people be moaning, sadly the answer is yes.One thing the board must do is to secure a yearly amount of sponsorship from Myclub, to run the club at a top level. and set us up a dam reserve side.If you want a say in how Ebbsfleet is run, thats very easy, for every £35 you put in I imagine you get a vote, like any other company run by shareholders. I have always been a fleet fan, and I want what is best for the club, if that means accepting this then so be it.Before you all shout me down, its a opinion on the facts that are available at this moment in time, so I may change my view later on.

Nope - MFC subscribers are members of a trust, not shareholders. One member, one vote, one £35 (per year). Part of the rationale is to try and democratise football a little bit.

Yes, I agree with Busta. I have no doubt that the team will continue to be picked by Liam. The purchasing of players will still be lead by Liam / The existing board. Others may have input, but it will take a large group of like minded idiots to alter any of the informed decisions handed to them.

All that has changed is that we have got a huge investment and a higher profile.

It may not be what most people here think, but count me in.

I asked quite a few of the people around my office and the response was unanimous - it sounds like a good idea. When I asked if they would like it for their team the response was - "for £700k - no", but they are mostly premier league team supporters. If you change the sum to £700 million, most would go along with it. Ask Chelsea fans whether they like having Abramovich in charge

You talk about the EPL being souless and the talk about steamrollering a club and ripping out it's identity, badge, name etc.

If anything the name should be restored. I don't think you represent the whole of MyFC but you are an idiot. I'm glad there are 19,999 other members to cancel you out.

Oh absolutely, and I really hope existing fans decide to join. I was just keen to point out that extra influence (over and above each person's one vote) can't be bought, which I think is pretty great.

We have the odd idiot on board - its a good job that we have another 20,000 to balance it out. Imagine if the one idiot had control of everything!

At the start we can have a stand for the existing fans, and the rest for MFC
