Protest

frankly, with gates of under 1,000 - how much influence you gonna have vs 20,000 and growing, after todays publicity?

if you want your club to progress, then maybe 6th > 10th is as high as you'll go in BlueSq, so maybe consider welcoming the cash injection and be involved and part of history in the making. taking club to Football Legaue, and you can state you were there before the big days (if/when they happen)

FFS why do all these so called MYFC members insist on posting such rubbish. I certainly don't recognise your usernames from MyFC.

May I suggest that if you wish to protest you also consider sending an open letter to the MyFC membership and getting signatues on it from inside the ground. From what I've read on here, most people are against the move at the moment but I fully believe that you will see this drop off and subside as the thing gets moving. If the club are going in the right direction what is there to protest??

Just one last thing for your attention: If MyFC DOES go tits up as I presume you expect, then the club will not be saddled with any debt (myFC would'own' any debts) and the club can only have taken a load of cash from the deal. Apart from a load of outsiders suddenly appearing from nowhere please explain exactly what you are protesting about.

We expected this reaction - it is fully understandable - all I ask is that you give us 2/3/6 months once the takeover is completed and then come back with your reaction at that point.

Tbh, I would of thought the majority of people involved in a scheme like myfc would have very little thought of the how the clubs supporters would feel. Why don't you guys just go and put your money into your own local teams. If everyone had that attitude, football would be a lot more interesting in this country. The concept of myfc is wrong in so many ways I'd be annoyed about it happening to any non-league club let alone my own.

You do have a point Robbo but unfortuntely the obliarchs at the top of the game have spoilt it for everyone else and this is the only realistic response to keep football fans in control of a club - even if we didnt all start out as Ebbsfleet fans.

Actually, I will correct you on one thing - I would say that more time has been dedicated discussing the existing members and how to deal with this difficult time than any other single issue. In fact you'd probably be surprised how mature debate has been on the whole range of issues. I can promise you that MyFC members DO care very much about Ebbsfleet's existing fans and we haven't assumed you will be happy to see us - far from it we expected this kind of backlash. What we hope though is over time a mutual understanding will emerge as it does between any club board and club fan base.

Interestingly enough, the majority of discussions regarding the clubs we might purchase centered on making sure we worked with the current supporters and didn't come in like a bull in a china shop. I'm sure it will feel that way nevertheless, if for no other reason than the sheer size of the MyFC membership.

But the reason we pooled our resources and sought to purchase a club is to have exactly what you claim you want, a voice in how the club is run. MyFC members have that as the reason they came together. We want you included in that as well. We're not exclusionary in the least. We even let ManU fans join!

Seriously, join us and have your vote as well.

And therein lies the problem - most of you clowns seem to have no idea about football support, let alone non-league. You are marching in, against the wishes of what appears to be the majority of the fans, and taking over their club. And all you seem to care about is success. Newsflash: non-league football is about more than that

Non-league clubs are about community. They have meaning to local people. You and the rest of your merry band are going to march in, and change the dynamic of this club, perhaps forever, riding roughshod over the fans who have kept this club going long long before most of you lot even knew they existed

I frankly am a little tired of you calling me a clown. You actually have fewer posts on this forum than I do, a 16-hour member. You know as little about me (and MyFC) as we do about EUFC. And as for all your talk of community, your own community residents admit they aren't supporting your club.

Now instead of riding your rhetorical high horse, why not discuss something that can actually accomplish something good for the club you support? And leave the name-calling in the school playground.

Are you? What a shame. Frankly, I have zero respect for you and the rest of your maurauding pack, so i'm afraid you'll have to deal with it.

I know plenty about MyFC, and the more I find out, the more disgusted I am. I really don't know who you lot think you are. You're certainly not real football fans

The ironic thing is - i'm not even a G&NFC supporter. I'm a football fan who is appalled by your little real-life fantasy football game. I don't know how you have the nerve to come on here and suggest what is best for the fans of this football club

And that pretty much sums up the entire problem with this whole farce. "Deal with it" - i'm not a fan of this club, but what a way to let the real fans know what you really think of their opinion on the future of THEIR club

I am gutted for the true fans of your club. I think this is a terrible day for football, and I can't imagine how you all feel. I would be devestated if this was Canvey, and hope that somehow this works out for you guys. You certainly don't deserve to be 20,000 armchair fan's fantasy football game.

I hope not mate as financially this is a great opportunity for us. There have been a few decent posters on here today but in general members of MFC have come across as arrogant and patronising tinpot investors.
