It is a little unfortunate that MyFC members have come onto this forum in such numbers today - but it was only to be expected given the announcement made earlier (and also given the fact that the MyFC website crashed earlier because of the huge volumes trying to access the site. Be a little cautious about some of the comments as they do not represent the general feelings and attitudes among MyFC members. I think it will settle down over the next couple of days and hopefully both existing EUFC fans and MyFC members will have a little more time to talk about the best way of progressing things. Remember everything isn't cut and dried yet. Due diligence will take 6-8 weeks. And this period could provide a very good opportunity for existing fans and MyFC to build a relationship based on mutual respect.

There has been some suggestions that MyFC might open their forums to EUFC fans so they can see what kind of discussions have been taking place there about the running of a football club. I think it is a good idea. I don't know if it will happen. The rules certainly prohibit any non-MyFC member posting but view the forums might be okay.

I do wonder if the due dilligence should have been completed and contracts signed before this news was released...what happens if MyFC pull out or the EU shareholders pull the plug...?

i think the whole saga is complete farce, we have been sold down the river, it will all end in tears.....this club has distanced itselves from the local regular fan in search of money....i will still pay to pop down the ground to watch my local side play but to be honest...the love affair is over.....this stinks

It is clear that this would have been the ideal situation - but the likelihood is that the news would have leaked out at some point. Apparently these negotations have been goin on for some weeks now - so it is actually surprising that there hasn't been a leak. I think this announcement was made because it was likely to come out sooner rather than later.

If the Ebbsfleet shareholders vote against the sale or the MyFC membership vote against the sale (extremely unlikely given the voerwhelmingly positive reaction on the MyFC forums) then Ebbsfleet would remain under the current ownership and MyFC would re-open negotiations with some of the other clubs that discussions have been held with.

But isn't that impossible given that the majority shareholding in the club is owned by the board?

Unlikely, yes, because of that, but not impossible. It's just as unlikely that MyFC would vote no at this stage, but again, until the deal's signed, it's still a possibility.

mate,f*ck off back to the USA,no one wants to see the yanks get involved in football.

We have a couple of yank fans at our club and the last people they would want to take control of our club is americans.

You know sh1t all about footy, sorry soccer.

You know everything about winding the rest of the world up and making yourselves look like tw@ts

From a very disgruntled hornchurch fan who has just bothered to watch their club get stuffed by Tilbury in The ESL cup.

Yeah, you certainly told me. On what planet does what you just said pass for civil discourse? I frankly don't care if your club just lost. But to take it out on me when all I did was respond to Stu's question is childish. If you think that's in any way positive for EUFC, more's the pity.

Any more thought given to have a sub-forum for MyFC related issues yet?

I dont think having a separate registration is necessary, and therefore it would be impossible to insist who posts where - but I am sure mosy Fleet fans would like THEIR forum back!

(And surely admin could move threads into the 'correct' forum if needed)
