Is it the team or the manager exhausted. Suprised by Matt Jones saying this TBH?

how's that new guy of yours doing?

Only seen him Once TC and he looked good. Apparantly training very hard and good to have in the dressing room. Time will tell, but bags of experience.

So what happened to the lad from Arsenal LF? Seem to recall a lot of excitement when he showed up.

LF - Seems as though there were a number of fans over on your board who shall we say seemed a tad disappointed about signing Ollie. He played once for you a good few years back and at the time was crucial in your bid for promotion to Southern Prem. Why was there almost a, shall we say, sigh of disappointment amongst some ?

No Rome wasn't built in a day and neither is success. Over the past three seasons improvements to the club in general have been amazing and the team's performances over this time has certainly matched those improvements.

There has been a lot of things said, praise made to Steve & Sharon Kent over what they have done since they walked in. Those of us that do have memories remember the insecurity of the situation at the club before Christmas 2003. It is sometimes, easier to expect miracles on the pitch and forget that in order to become a successful club, security must come first. And from there we build.

Everything is related. Without security, the team may not perform as they have done. I said that we were a "nearly but not quite team" over the seasons. There was no criticism of anyone. That view is based on the final seasons results. On sheer cliff hanging excitement, we've had a great run and praise (again) must go to those involved...from the Chairman to the supporter and everyone inbetween. We all have our idea of what the club is and where it should go and we all put it into the pot and what comes out is, a more stable and sucessful club.

I suppose you could accuse me of impatience...Especially in light of the current events. A lot of time and effort was spent on last Saturdays game v Swansea. It was an event for the club and the local community. It was important for many reasons, one being to raise the profile of the club (One person said to me "I've lived here for 20 years and I never knew this club existed" - laugh? No...I took that as a personal faliure of not being more pro active in promoting the club - Hopefully, that person will come again). And listening to the "chat" last night, we all had some amusing or potent story...a memory. But, in my personal opinion, because of the teams performances of past seasons, I would like to see us win something more tangable than a memory...promotion would be nice and it would certainly be something that would reward all the time, money and effort that some people have put in.

Perhaps I'm a misrable git (a clamour of agreement is expected here), I don't know but as much as I enjoyed the day (and I did, very much), I felt that some focus was lost in the build up on what tangable award we could win this season. It's understandable that a lot of time and effort went into the pot to stage the game. Those that worked hard arranging the day and taking time to prepare the club and sell tickets have my gratitude and applause.

I said in an earlier post that last Saturday was more like a "holiday" from the league, a break (one that lasted 6 weeks!!!). It's now time to re focus on what we can win (and we can) and get behind the team and the club to make the push for promotion.

Well, yes, but you can't really legislate for a person who is so uninterested in their community that they haven't managed to read a single local newspaper, from front to back, in 20 years!

gazza, absolutely agree with what you have said i know without any of these people who work behind the scenes none of this would happen.I do believe we have a strong club in more ways then one and an excellent backing and i still believe we have better things to come, thats why i stopped going to westham and came to support the blues a local club with friendly people and a ture blue army. Give me grass roots football anytime i do hope i have many more years to watch the blues tel boy. ps theres only one git in town, thats me, the old git.
