6 points behind 6th placed Horsham who've played 11, like us.

 

But still 31 games to go.

Is that the total sum of your real support BC? And reading your forum, I thought it was more laugh


I'm sure you realise that I MEANT each face to be a representative of each of the 16 teams above you in the table. After all, if Ricay are in with a shout of the top spot, then so must all the teams above you in the table. Of course, ONE of the teams is already IN the coveted position, and will try it's damndest to stay there. BUT, as has already been pointed out - 31 games to go (only 27 for us), so anything could happen.

Hey B.C.! What is it with Mr Mixture & the err.. "derier" region of anatomy? He seems to give it a mention in every thread. First he crowbarred it into my Guinea Pig thread yesterday. Today he cant discuss your likely league performance without another mention of that area. He seems obsessed! Did he go to a Public School?

Can't say that I've picked up on those vibes Rick. But now you've mentioned it, I'll ensure that my back remains firmly up against the wall during any of my future meetings with Mr Mixture.

Well, he is only voicing a concern which some of us have. I agree with Matt and having spoken to some of the players through my interviews, the spirit of the team is fantastic and from that I think they will bust a gut to do their best to get promotion. I've read that some people would like the games in hand rescheduled ASAP. I'm impressed that some people's "thirst" for the club and team and to get out and support the team. But lets give the lads a bit of a breather, eh? If we go into the round robin of Saturday and mid week games too early, the players may burn themselves out completely.

 

The F A Cup run was a marvelous experienece for the club and certainly one that I would like to see repeated but for me personally, it's the league and promotion that is important.

 

I'm sure that the club will put things into place for the team to start pushing on. Over the last three seasons we have had quite a ride what with play off's for two seasons and just missing out for one. It certainly has been an exciting ride and I have enjoyed my football and supporting the club as much as I can remember but we have been the "nearly but not quite" team and I would like to think that this year that will change. I know from speaking to the players that they want to win promotion to give something back to the club that has supported them over the past three seasons.

 

It's not just down to the players either. Us the supporters must support and encourage, in whatever way we can. It's difficult if things are not going well on the pitch but the players have said it plenty of times, when we start raising our voices on the terraces, they raise their game.

 

Ashford are having a difficult season at the moment and there can't be a better game like this Saturday to ease our boys into league action. I'm not saying it will be easy...there are no easy games in this league, especially away from home but with the quality we have on the pitch, I would like to think that we will be in place for those three points on Saturday.

What gets me is other clubs giving it all that bbb re or place on the table,

Any other club that had not played for five game's

would be in a similar position.

 

The supporters are 100% behind the Team & Club.

if i feel exhausted goodness knows how the team must feel, heybridge twice,llford, folkestone, thurrock,kings lynn twice then swansea, wow catch my breath, i do think matt and his players should go for the play offs, then when we get there who knows what could happen.I do think at times people expect microwave success, yes we have been unlucky in the past, but rome wasnt built in a day.
