hello to you all from myfootballclub.

i am one of the new owners of ebsfleets fc and I ask you fans not to worry a bit about the clubs future. to back myself up, i have personly played championship manager 2003/04 for the last 4 years and i have taken barnet to the champioship by 2009/10 season, so i am experienced in what is required to ran a football club at this level.

i, myself have won manger of the year award at my local under 13 team last season.

i hope to personly enjoy a good tenure at this club and sign some beter players for you in order to gain league status by sometime in the next 6/7 years.

so the current players will be given time before we dable in the transfer markets and sign a new team in order to make it up the league and probably the premiership in the next 7/8 years.

with regard to signings, roberto carlos is out of out reach and not relistic so please do not suggets this. but I did sign tony yeboah in championship manager 2003/04 before firing my physio due to wages problems.

the team should get lot of new fans at your ground to join you the real fans, so this should pleese you.

liam daish will be given a chance to run the teem, but our desisins are final in runing the club.

all in all, i really do reassure you that everything will be ok, and i hope you trust in us to pull you out of this league and ibo the premiership by 2010 or maybe before this.

jarrad (new joint owner of ebsfleet 2007-)

In answer to your question, at the moment its all a bit much to take in. Hoards of new fans is what we have been after but maybe not by this method.

The most worrying thing is of course what the fans see as 'their' club will be diluted beyond recognition by 50,000 or so 'owners' who have no real interest in the club beyond a passing whim and may leave it after a year or two in a less secure financial state than it is now. At only £35 a year what long term commitment is there in getting things right?

I believe there will be some membership turnover in the first year as those who aren't very committed drop away. But I believe that over time, more real football fans will embrace the idea when they see it stabilize and that a long-term core membership will be the case. I believe the first two years are the key. I can only speak for myself, but I see myself supporting EUFC from here on out, regardless of where the club goes. I never envisioned my participation as a short-term lark.

And I seriously doubt whether the poster who started this thread is a MyFC member. Just someone winding everyone up. I suspect we'll witness that a lot--at least until there's some success!

yes good point...but if they put their money where their mouths are and come and watch the games then the increased fan base revenue has to help - the £35 is almost a one off - the true impact will be through the usual revenue generation any footie club needs

Its actually 20k fully signed up and paid...like me smile

I am a MFC member and can entirely sympathise with you fans of the blub who have been through your team through thick and thin. This must be a daunting prospect as it is a massive leap into the unknown. This could go horribly "tits up" but by the same measure it could bring unpresidented success to the club. Of course, there are going to be doubters and nay sayers..

There is a lot to be said for taking the autonomy of the club away from individuals and placing it into the hands of many as the "Wisdom of Crowds" is often greater than any one individual with their own motivations.

I cant see how that would happen personally.

well.....where to start. I dont think I've had so many mixed emotions since my wife told me that she used to be a bloke!

And that statement was'nt as impactive as the one I've just read on here about our club.I am gobsmacked( as should the 'board' be and I'm first to do the smacking please!)I have no real business accumin but would see this purely as a short to mid-term financial solution/injection to what has obviously been a case of mismanaged funds within a company structure that has no-one at the helm. That said, many clubs and businesses do have the same type of problem but if shareholding, in this guise at least, is the only option then it also shows to me that there must be a distinct lack of confidence from the clubs other 'financial' backers and sponsers to resolve the problems any other way. I'm not being negative here either because this could be the best solution going forward and if it is we will ALL benefit from it.I just hope that the assumed, and thus far apparent, enthuiasm of the 'Collective Management Team' doesnt affect the club in any other way other than positevely. We will have to wait and see on all of the above but......................it is still a crunch in the spherical obloids for me I'm afraid.

For gods sake, welcome to the friggin real world. This is a professional football ground, not a stupid computer game. Why the hell are you owner, you can't even spell the Clubs name!! its called EBBSFLEET, and big whoop with barnet, i got ebbsfleet to the premiership in 5 years on Football manager, a much better game, and more realistic. Perhaps i should be an owner?!?
