It was no own goal. When i went off scotsmer had scored two and the centre midfield the other. The only time i would have scored an own goal is if kingy was close to scoring

After two successive defeats Brentwood bounced back with a comprehensive win at Mill Field.

Centre back Terry Scotchmer led the way with an early penalty and he went on to complete a hat trick in the second half.

Brentwood got off to a great start when they were awarded a penalty for handball just over 40 seconds into the first half. Ironically, the Aveley defender responsible was former Blues player Glen Golby whose final act in a Brentwood shirt was to score the winner in a penalty shoot out in the Essex Senior League Cup final at the end of last season.
