Italian Police Kill Fan

A football fan has been shot dead by police during a fight between rival supporters in Italy, officials say.

Local authorities said there had been a "tragic error" when police intervened to quell violence between fans of Roman team Lazio and Turin-based Juventus.

The victim, a Lazio fan, was on his way to an Inter Milan-Lazio game when he was shot at a motorway rest stop near the Tuscan city of Arezzo.

Later about 200 armed fans attacked a police barracks in Rome

Kinda puts our worries in the shade...

RIP

Once again, another stupid incident in the world of football....from Italy! RIP. Football should be banned in italy, they are always the ones that spoil it for the other countries. Like when they won the world cup!

I offer my condolences to his family, and wish them a speedy recovery from all the pain caused from this tradgic event.

This happened in a Petrol Station, not a Football Stadium!

That makes it ok then?

Of course it doesn't, but some people are calling for the grounds to be closed! Like a Spurs fan killing an Arsenal fan at Margate,a Policeman shooting one of them, and they close their ground!(*Please note I picked these two teams for their rivalry, not their fan base*)!

Amazing what some editing can prove/disprove tho!

"POLICE have arrested 14 men in a series of dawn raids following a violent football-related incident on a train.
A group of up to 40 men took part in the incident, which occurred at Sydenham railway station on September 1 at around 2.20pm.
The men boarded the train and began a series of random attacks on passengers within two carriages of the train."

"Two men still remain in custody in connection with the death of a 30-stone Charlton fan.
Duncan Frame - known locally as "Big Duncan" - was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich, after being found unconscious when a charity night at his local boozer ended in violence
A murder investigation has been launched, and police are looking into the possibility the violence was sparked by rival Charlton and Spurs' fans"

And this is just Charlton related, just a quick google search - imagine if you wanted to sensationalise this for a TV show?

Stuart,
don't you feel that those real football factories are a little "staged"
