Back to League Action Then...

With all the cup excitement I wasn't aware of this, but apparently we're in a competition called "The Ryman League"... Over a month now since our last league game, and I can honestly say I've not looked at the league table since then...

 

It makes for interesting reading. We've got games in hand to go above 11 of the teams above us (making reasonable allowances for GD). More realistically we've got 3 or 4 games in hand over most of the teams between us and the play offs, and at the current time we're just 7 points off 5th place.

 

It's important that we get straight back into it with a good result at Ashford on Saturday. There's no premiership or championship next weekend so no excuses for not travelling. If you've never been before it's a lovely ground with a wonderfully spacious clubhouse (with fit barmaid behind the jump)... Some of that isn't true

Not to forget the attraction of being able to breathe in large quantities of petrol for the duration of the game.

what a ride over the past weeks my nerves are shattered. now back to the ryman, as matt jones said we still have 31 league games left. And i think with matt jones and the team we have a very good chance of making it .

On the subject of League games, we have four to be re-arranged now; AFCW & Horsham at home and Staines & Tonbridge away.

 

I'm guessing that Staines & Horsham won't be sorted 'till their F.A.Cup runs are over. Any news on Wimbledon & Angels though?

"League game" ? What is that? Is it where you can lose a game and still be in the competition? Can't see that catching on ! Really must try and get to Ashford somehow and tick off another new ground...
