Miller's Bubble bursts big time (Aveley 0 Berko 3)

Because I didn't think that the Essex Thameside Trophy would give me the fix of blood sweat and toil that I needed, I

unashamedly spent the evening at Mill Lane watching our near neighbours in league action against Berkhamstead. The Aveley line up looked a little less competitive than normal with Jimmy Stevens and Danny Curran on the bench and no Carl Fannon.

To cut a long story short, the performance of Berko belied their relatively lowly league position. They looked dangerous every time they entered Aveley's half, using both wings and extremely quick strikers, the third goal in particular was top drawer.

Aveley's delusions of adequacy look to have evaporated, the defence was jittery (Darren Smith had laryngitis by the end) and Aaron Wright and Luke Baukham hardly got a look in up front.

Bottom line is Aveley for no. 2, a definite no but watch out for Berko, they looked like Hemel but better! If they were in this form earlier in the season I think they would be serious title contenders.

We were 2 nill down to them earlier this season and i thought we'd had it,luckily we pulled it out the bag and one 3-2,remember this is only one game and if they were that good they would be playing well all the time,we'v got them on the last day of the season and were walking there, should be a good day to get promoted on(hopefully)

As I said in my note, if they played like this 'earlier in the season' they would be a threat. At this level players come and go..Hornchurch have virtually a different line up to the one that started the season. If I compared the performance of Slough when they came to Hornchurch earlier in the season to Berko last night they were far better than you. But as you say, if they were any good they would be like it every week!

We were dreadful at your place,i think that was the day we had to field our Assistant Manager because we had such a large injury list, when Berko came to our place i remember them being very impressive but we were just that little bit better. If only we could just all play Wealdstone now,a guaranteed win????

'under' a stone more like, we heard that said player was hawking himself all over the place and asking for half that money, cant see why we'd want him though, we have more than enough highly paid average midfield players (joke boys honetsly) i dont think so somehow.

overpiad essex c***, ha ha ha,,theyd all be here if they got the chance and you know it. eat yur heart out camel. mind you, three wins on thre trot and youlot would all be back in it, dont give up yet mate, we like having you around, its more fun.

i always thought there was something not quite the full urchin ticket with you, how can you declare yourself an urchin and go and watch a bunch of fat pikies when we've got a game is beyond me. your comments on here are mostly constructive so whoever you support you are welcome but (big sigh) you aint no urchin fan if you can do that mate. so, a closet pikie or did you just latch on when they started winning,

come to think about it, i seem to remember you gloating about fatboy aaron something or other in a previous post, got you sussed now mate. got you sussed. you're a floater aintya, own up now, out with it. we'll still talk to you.

trust me mate (not) we will be seeing each other next season coz you aint going up also that same mark nicholls(striker btw)since he has been at uxbridge they have lost two games scored about 12 goals and has helped uxbridge within4 points of possible promotion and 3 points behind you.

not bad for an average midfield player,me thinks you lost out.

Me Thinks we didnt lose out we have a good lot of midfield players here, and im sure if some of the lads hear about this Mark Nicholls( so called comments, for what "a stones" so called mate is worth ) they will be sure to give him a hefty pat on the back or on the face(our lads are as good as gold realy) hehehe.... the next time he plays against us

i think that you will find that you've got the wrong end of the stick stoney, to my knowledge we haven't spoken to mark wassisname. he probably knows dimitri quite well so if anything were to transpre it would be known. good player in truth but we do not need midfielders, we need goals. stop worrying abut uxbridge, they wont get promoted they aint good enough, start to be more positive about your own team, they aint out of it yet, cant help yourselves can you, spiteful lolloping camels to the end, poor supporters really, no faith, away again on saturday are you? he he

If Wealdstone Loose again on Saturday i think they are out of it as long as no 1 else mucks it up like they have.

Just a question for Stones fans, what actualy has gone wrong with your team since we played you????What happened on tuesday,i mean you went 4 nil down??

I'm a floater who has only missed two home league games in the last two years and have watched Hornchurch on and off since they were in the Athenian league. I don't have too much spare time on a saturday so only go to the local away games.

Teams like Aveley who don't have much money need the odd floating support, anyway without them we wouldn't have such fun local derbies!

On saturday I'll be watching Purfleet vs Kingstonians...........

We have suffered badly with injuries in all areas, especially defence with three central defenders unavailable since that game. Other injuries to midfield and both forwards has added to the amount of youngsters having to be played along with a third choice keeper last Saturday.

Although we have reserve and youth sides, the first team are very young and this has meant a lack of leadership (like having SB as Manager) in recent weeks.

But on Saturday a win for us Woods,Oxford,Thame & Barking and you drawing with Hemel, puts the camels amongst the internet mafia again.

If we had won 3-0 on Tuesday we would have gone second, and gained a great confidence boost as players are starting to return.

Guess we will just have to keep plugging away but you are now in the hot seat and must be looking forward to those 4 away games on the trot.

right there stoney (if you were refering to misery guts that is).....we aint got no problem with floaters...the game needs 'em...its just nice to know who they actually are and what loyalties they have...in truth he does contribute well to our drivel.... so no harm done really now we've flushed him out as a closet pikie!!!!!!......he he he...purfleet...cor blimey they're worse than aveley...its like a travelling tinkers site down there....

as for you lot....yeah you've slipped up but a win on saturday will, as you say, put you right back in it again...mind you, dont bank on the urchins losing...i can feel a good performance coming on...all great stuff but I'm still going for two of the current top six...uxbridge and aveley aint good enough I dont think...mind you...I did back west ham for the league title....so...you never know do you....

keep the faith camel....we aint finished with you just yet...do try harder...there's a good chap....

Thanks for being so understanding Uncle Urchin. However, I object most strongly to being labelled a pikey!

One final constructive criticism of the Urchins bar and shop. Why do they not sell baked hedgehog amongst the hot snacks and given the precarious sate of play at the moment why don't we have some 'alternative' urchinettes selling sprigs of lucky heather at half time?

PS. I can do you a good deal on tarmacing your driveway, you wont even have to move your car!
