Bookham 2-4 Camberley Town,

Teflon

Recommended Posts

Have to say I enjoyed the game today, difficult to play great football as always on the hallowed turf on Meadowbank.

Bookham score on 6 mins and extend the lead on 39 mins, and played the better for the 1st 40 mins I thought (PB back me up please) Bookham then go to sleep and Cambo pull one back on 44 mins and then on 45+6 in a 52 min 1st half. H/T 2-2, Cambo score again on 48+49 mins and no futher goals in a game that latested a total of 104 mins.

Hmmm,no real delays in the game but think the ref wanted to give Cambo a chance to get back into the game in the 1st half and Bookham extra time in the second to see if we could get a point wink Game was a bit fiesty at times with both side showing passion and commitment but not a game of 9 yellows in total !!!! but the ref enjoyed his time in the spot light smile

So Cambo's scored the 3rd and 4th goals before the second !!!!!

We feel we dropped poor points today against a top side in a game we should have got so much more from, from the position we had worked ourselves into.

It was also great to meet so many nice people from Camberley too and today in that aspect was a pleasure. Thanks applause

Have to agree for 40 minutes you were the better team, our youngsters (apart from Barny and Sillsy) wanted to fight anything that moved, and came off 2nd best. Once we decided to try and play football we did ok, scored 4 goals in 10 minutes and could have had more in a 20 minute spell we dominated. After that Bookham came back into it and forced our keeper into 1 great save.

Referee wasnt very good today, although our sending off was silly he can have no complaints.

It was, as they say, 'A Game of Two Halves !'

Bookham dominated the first and The Kroons the second.

Bookhams first goal would have looked great on Match of the Day. It was spectacular !

I echo Teffers comments about the Camberley crowd. Luvly people !

As said on another thread, I'm sorry I couldn't stay later PB, but 'Er Indoors had evening plans !
