That was close, but we'll take it

1-0 is good enough, we'll probably play better overall and get no better result. I'd say we deserved to win, but not by a lot... Sam was never really troubled except by injury, but then their goalie only had to make a couple of good saves himself.

I thought our brightest signs were the quality of some of the through passes, there were some very fine balls to foot not just from the wings but through the middle, Williams and Seeds in particular and Will also when he came on. I think we tend to play better on the ground so it was good to see that.

that about sums it up.they didn't seem to like will goin on up front when he challenged for every ball. im sure we'l play better and lose at some point this season but at the moment its the result that matters!

I thought willow had a great first half but he faded a bit at the start of the second which maybe why he was subbed but he has been a class above most of the opposition we have played in recent weeks. And when chenns is hitting the target in almost every game things are looking good in my view.

lets focus on bracknell and uxbridge now and lets add more points 2 out league total! UTR

I think the truth of the matter was you had two sides who had already played each other twice recently and they knew each other too well or, in other words, cancelled each other out. For a neutral it would have looked a pretty poor game but there were moments of good football [as well as some poor bits as well, particularly in the first half].

These are the sort of games where you have to grind out a result and we're starting to show that's exactly what we can do if required, which is an improvement on last season when we sometime ran out of ideas or patience in those situations.

I think Oxford will be there or thereabouts in the final run-in so it's three points well-earned. There were some interesting results yesterday with teams getting results that weren't expected, so if we keep our winning form going our games in hand could make all the difference in the period just after Christmas when we should have caught up both in games played and points won.

in truth the wind made it hard for both teams for it to be a decent game, we had early chances which we did not take, you took your chance and fair play to you, i will point to your match report where it says Alex Stewart was lucky to not be sent off after an outburst at the official, but i'm sure as football supporters you can see our frustrations at the poor officiating from said lineman through out the game, why they have to change sides for the second half is beyond me, and to be calling for the player to be sent off when only mere minutes later your manager (i assume your manager) called the lineman an "f'ing c**t" , double standards perhaps?

Anyway, no use crying over spilt milk. all the best for the rest of the campaign, hopefully taking points from the other top sides along the way
