There were only 3 different players from the squad that played Milwall midweek Jack, with the 3 players missing because of suspension (2) and injury... Hardly "most reserves"...

Proud of the boys today. After a slow start where we gave the ball away too much, we got into the game and got a deserved lead. For the rest of the first half I felt we were the better team, got forward well and forced a number of corners, Flack and Dorms went close. 2nd half I thought we'd weathered the storm when their guy scored a good equaliser. Battled back into it, but gave away a disappointing late winner which we should have cleared into row Z.

Bloody proud of the boys. They deserved more. Thought we were the better team for a lot (if not most) of the game, but maybe tired towards the end.

I thought we did at least as well as anyone could have expected and it was a shame that we couldn't at least earn ourselves another chance at their gaff.

 

I thought Blewitt had his best game of the season for us today but would completely agree that Dorms was kin brilliant. I thought he was the best player on the pitch today. We could have done better for both their goals though, especially the second and I'm sure the troops will be disappointed when they see them. Hopefully we can use the positives from this game as a springboard into some good form the league.

 

Well done to Horsham and Staines who are both still fighting the Ryman cause.

 

Finally a big thank you to all those behind the scenes who worked tirelessly to organize the game and did a fantastic job IMO.
