Live Updates From Today's Game At Uxbridge

2-1 to Uxbridge and yet it feels more like victory. A game which we more than deserved a point from and probably all three. Murdered them in the second, but two efforts cleared off the line and a cross/shot hitting the woodwork showed that luck was not on our side.

A midfield of Wilko, Roddis and Metcalfe had everybody worried but there was so much running from them. Woodruffe was quality on the ball, Abbey Nsubuga did brilliantly as the lone frontman and Dave Barrett showed his quality.

Really harsh that this ended in another away defeat. Play like that every game and we'll start winning matches.

And well done Mark Nicholls on picking up your yellow card. Enjoy your suspension

Yep, that's probably the best we've played as a team in around 2 seasons now and really did deserve to get something from the game.

Dominated the second-half and had two cleared off the line and one off the bar.

I'm guessing Landy was not fully fit otherwise we surely would have used him in the final 20 minutes. Suprised we did not bring Miller on as well as we were getting lots of crosses into the area and that's where Miller can be dangerous.

Were slightly the worse team during the fist half, but completly dominatedthe second. Gutted we didn't win yet it feels great to see the team playing so well. Lets just hope they keep it up and keep the belief 'cos we could have easily have snatched all three points today.

Totally agree Chris, I said leaving that I thought it was the best we have played for two years. The second half was brilliant. We produced lots of goalmouth threat and that is not something we've seen for a while. If we play like that every week we will pick up lots of points and be fine. I saw the team sheet and feared the worst but I thought 1-11 had good games today.

Wasn't at the game, but followed it via the match day live service and it seemed like the substitution of Ellis on for Barratt was odd.

Given from what it seemed was plenty of attacking possession on the 2nd half why not bring on Miller or Attrell? Strikes me as a lack of tactical knowledge.

Agree with everyone we were great in the second half and porbably deserved all 3 points; certainly a draw. How Uxbridge are where they are in the table beats me.

We lost the game in the first half. I don't know what it is but we seem to be Jeckyll and Hyde and the moment. Push overs in the first and then come out fighting in the second. It was certainly like that against Burnham and Didcot. Whatever Wilko says at half time he needs to say at the start.

Also can't undertsand why we didn't push for draw or win by bringing on Lande I reckon some more power up front might have made the difference.

Didnt manage to get to the game or the updates on the website because I was in London at the Royal Albert Hall this afternoon, but I was kept up to date with the score, sounds like an unlucky defeat, its good to see that things could be starting to come together in terms of team performance recently.

That has to be one of the most frustrating matches I've ever seen!!! I'm annoyed that we lost when we should have gained a point at the very least, our second half performance was very encouraging and we really had no luck on our side. Any other day we could have won 4-1! If only we could put that second half performance into every game for 90 minutes... we'd be top! With players like Jeffreys, Charles, Brown and 'new' signing Riddell to come back into the side, plus the likes of Grimm and Salaka I think there's every reason to feel optimistic for the matches ahead. Also the crowd was 232 today (their highest this season) and as usual there must have been at least 100 from Slough.

We totally dominated most of that game, how we didn't come away with points I have no idea. We hit the post, and had more shots than probably in all our other games. Also a great goal from Barratt.

I agree with all that's been said so far, with players waiting to come back in, and with the attitude they showed yesterday, it's looking brighter for the rest of the season.

Yet again, the crowd behind the goal were very vocal through-out the match. I could hear them quite clearly whilst taking photos from the side.

If we can play like that against Oxford on Saturday, with another ful week of training behind them...who knows.

Well done Rebels

Thought you were unfortunate to leave Honeycroft with nothing. It was unusual, as an Uxbridge fan, to be able to admit we were lucky after Saturdays game - we usually get punished when we play poorly.

Maybe Saturday's game reflects the fortunes of Slough Town at the moment. But the points will surely start to come judging by the second half performance at the weekend.

Good luck for the season (the return match apart, of course) and with your ongoing efforts to secure a home in Slough.
