Spencer Trethewey

Saw Spencer Trethewey as Manager of Chertsey Town FC on saturday, seems to have changed his surname to Day, for anyone who does not know who he is.

 

He was a 17 year-old whizz kid, property dealer Spencer Trethewey. There was great publicity about his 'fortune' that was being ploughed into the new club, Aldershot Town FC 1992. Three months later and no cash injection, he was banged away for fraud.

It was not me the first time, I saw the post about a week ago, and thought I would see on saturday and yes it is him, I did not lose any money, but we lost a club for a while, if he had not come along and made an offer, other arrangements might have been made, but it was too late.

He didn't also specialise in break-ins, perchance ?

Trouble is when you are desperate you live in hope, maybe some of the older fans had reservations but the younger ones did not understand.

i dont know what went on or what else he may have done but do you think its right to bring it up now? Naming and shaming behind an alias isnt covering you in glory or your club.

It is not realy about me, I do not think you realize what he did, he should never have anything to do with another football club again.

eye1 im just surprised this matter is not on the Horley website or forum following the game last week.

If the guy cant be in charge of a football club tell the league.

It will be of no interest to people in Horley, but the CCL has a lot of clubs from around Aldershot that have an interest, and also you mean anonymous like you, do you, is he your uncle or brother or something?

I had to leave at the final whistle due to having two punctured tyres from their car park, or else I would have done, I assume you are going to reveal who you are now are you, or do you only have opinions hiding? as looking at your record of posts you seem to be a very opionated person.
