Chicks crash out of combination cup

DORKING suffered their third single goal defeat in a row on Tuesday night, when they were knocked out of the Southern Combination Cup at home to Reading Town.

Tony Webb watched his side dominate for large periods but the Chicks were made to pay for wasted chances as the visitors snatched a late goal.

In the first half Dorking had a golden opportunity to take the lead but Adam Pero missed from the penalty spot.

Webb was without leading scorer Marcel Dennis and centre back Nick Brown, but the Chicks still had the players to get the job done.

However, it was the visitors who made it through to the next round thanks to that late strike.

The Chicks will now be hoping to end their recent run of results and pick up some much needed league points at Raynes Park Vale on Saturday.
