On the Day Information

Recommended Posts

We had further inspections today by police and council, and the game will go ahead as scheduled.

The police have given the game a B Grading for security and operations, C being the highest. This B Grading will mean that we are likely to incur further expenses, although the police did stress that they will try and keep those to a minimum.

The day's security is the responsibility of Billericay Town FC but overseen by a police operations commander, he will only step in if needed.

The Crowd will be videoed, and spotters will mingling.

Having said all that no one is expecting a hint of trouble, these are all precautionary measures that are in place to ensure everyone enjoys the day

I would urge everyone to get to the ground as early as possible, as gaining entry may be a slow process, it is a requirement that all bags are searched before entry which will of course slow things down. So if you was considering bringing a bag, please don't, unless its absolutely necessary.

There are extra toilets, these are placed at the water tank corner and in the main car park.

Extra catering facilities will be available for home fans in the main carpark (the away supporters catering unit will be in the away end)

St Johns will also be parked in the main carpark and there will be a first aid room in the main clubhouse building.

Seating in the main stand is passes only, Seating on the far side is on a 1st come secures a seat basis.

I can confirm that both our, and Swansea's tickets, have in the main been sold to family groups who are taking this opportunity to watch a game in a family friendly atmosphere.

Lets Enjoy the day and...

C'mon youuu Bluuuues

Well done & thanks to everyone who's made Saturday possible.

Shame about the possible additional Policing costs. But the long term benefits of all the publicity will hopefully outweigh them.

I hope you are right TC but the Swans supporters are a nasty lot and will travel for the fight alone, have seen them several times in recent years. Just hope they send a sensible lot!!!
