Hitchin 1 Billericay 0

Recommended Posts

Andy, we all react on hearing results but please take into consideration the events that may have unfolded in causing that result. That said, good luck at Uni and keep up the good work on your website. I've got a feeling that saturday you'll be in the Uni bar sinking a few snakebites in celebration of a 1-0 Billericay victory!

This is a message to all BTFC supporters from me George Borg, so you all know that it is me and not someone making out its me I was talking to Tony and JL in the bar after the game at Hitchin prior to talking to Les and Monics. I have made a decision to resign from BTFC as coach and I want you all to know that I thank you for your support whilst I have been involved at your club. With the financial situation as it is and with all the players that Gary has had to let go I just found that I was not enjoying going to the games and training anymore and then I here some comments after the game on Tuesday which just finalised my decision really. Whatever you supporters think about your club you will never know what you have got in manager Gary Calder until the day he decides to go because let me tell you all that if it was not for him the players would have all walked out weeks ago and I am not just talking about finances. Gary and I have had not had a row, he is a honourable man and he works tirelessly for your football club I woke up Wednesday morning and I new I had to resign for my heart was not in it anymore so there for I rang Gary straight away. I know Gary was very close to resigning when the club sold Roy and Martin to Gray's but he felt again that he owed it to the players he brought in to ensure that got looked after, as I have already said he is a honourable man. Just take a minute to look at the players that have had to leave the club. Scott Forrester, Mark Brennan, Roy Essendogh, Martin Carthy, Dave Mcdonald, Paul Fewings and I think lastly Chris Moore and I know for a fact Chrissey Moore didn't want to leave and Gary didn't want him to leave. For all of you supporters now you must get behind Gary and the players for the rest of the season and try and finish as high up the league as possible. Once again thanks for all the support you showed towards myself and Gary.

Regards

Borgy.

As for anonymous (message above) you must be exremely hard and clever having to make comments behind a false name - you f***ing coward! until you have the balls to actually put your real name in and make sensible comments why don't you keep your mouth shut you prick.

LETS GET BEHIND THE LADS ON SATURDAY - COME ON RICAY

i have to say this is a shame as he has a good track record in management and he was highly entertaining on the touchline and its a shame as we will miss the aldershot fans reactions to him on satruday

but i have to say having two people on the wages of the average manager wouldnt be helpful to the clubs financial situation and was a waste of money

Cheers George and best of luck for the future (nows there's something I'd thought I'd never say!). A shame that we have parted in such circumstances and just days before we spank those Hampshire numpties! Anyway, I'm sure the majority of supporters will welcome you back to New Lodge either as a visitor or otherwise. A true character.

I have only just read this after my last posting but I will say, good luck George (again). Yep, us in the "Cow Shed" have all had their match day's brightened up by your "performances" and it is a shame to see you go.

My comments in my other post was not a knock at GC but a genuine wish to see what would've happened if you had been given the job of running the team.

I think there are those out there that do not understand what GC has done for the club in recent weeks but after a chat with Rod before the Basingstoke game things were made clear.

To those cowards that can't be brave enough to put their names on this site after making a "smart" comment, I agree with Paul S.

So many sad goodbyes this season....Shame.
