........... feel the need to post 7 day requests to other clubs by Recorded Delivery, or even Registered Post ?????

 

I know there was a recent postal dispute but someone is taking the p1ss !!

I think our sec posts them but also e-mails said letter to club. Not sure if he sends registered, recorded or usual go slow mail?

When I was Secretary at Croydon, I used to use normal post, plus email, together with a request for some sort of acknowledgement when they received the request.

 

Unfortunately that didn't stop one club objecting on the basis that, although they acknowledged receiving both my letter and email, it didn't count because it hadn't been sent by Recorded Delivery as per League rules!

 

Unfortunately, before I had a chance to query this with the league, the player concerned walked out on his club, and joined someone else altogether!

It seems possible that certain clubs just enjoy being disruptive.
