Billericay 1 Kings Lynn 3

Oh dear...Sunday morning I was feeling quite positive and now today, Wednesday morning...well, not so positive as I was.

The first half we continued with our performance of last Saturday and if we had got a second then, who knows. "If" is quite a big word.

The second half we didn't show up and you have to wonder if the amount of games played, injuries and such like are beginning to take the toll on the players, especially when we have "that" game on Saturday to play and (possibly) on the minds of the players. It certainly is on the mind of the supporters, especially when Joe Flack pulled up mid way through the second half, there was the comment "Great, now Joe is injured". Luckily he shook it off. To me, it looked as if the players were tired and last night was maybe a bridge too far.

Whatever your thoughts, Kings Lynn were the better team in the second half and, in my opinion, lived up to the comments that were made about them before Saturday's game. Credit to them and good luck for the future. On our day I'm sure we could've beaten them but that's football and it wouldn't be "sport" if it all went our way (as much as we would like it to).

Onwards to Saturday...Can we over turn Swansea? Well, it has happened before in the competition and it will happen again. One thing I'm sure of, our players will be up for it on the day and give it their best shot. For me, this coming Saturday is about taking part in the best cup competition in the world and showing the country what a great club we are. If we win it, then that's a bonus.

Let's put last night behind us. After Saturday we re commence our league campaign and the team are going to need every one of us supporters to lift them to make up the ground to challenge for the title or a play off place.
