BBC Essex

I see they're scheduling commentary of Watford v. Colchester on Saturday afternoon, and it's Charlton v. Cardiff on BBC Radio Wales.

Are we getting any media attendance?

"Are we getting any media attendance? "

Doesnt look like we are which is a shame. I expected a fair bit as we were highlighted by the BBC as one of the standout ties of the round.

I seem to remember MOTD normally do a 5-10 minute highlight of one game in the same vein as they do the Premier League game. Does anyone know if they still do this and if so which game they have chosen?

Oh well, i guess well just have to wait for the replay/2nd round tie to get some media attention. smile

Might be because we play at 1pm not 3pm when the show is on!

The show starts at 14:00 hrs, so it's feasible that we may have got some "live up-dates" or commentary aired from the 2nd half, especialy as we'll be finished before the Colchester game starts. It's even feasible, isn't it, that they could start the show early!

Hence my question "are we getting any media attendance"?

Any answers?

Yes rick, lots

Sky were at the game last night filming every aspect of our humble little club, they also did interviews with Matt and a few of our players. This will be shown on soccer first, Saturday, so set your sky plus's .

BBC Essex are sending a radio van on Saturday, BBC & Sky will be filming the goals...so Flacky will get on tv.

Wales are sending radio, and a good number of national and local papers have been, and will be, in attendance as well/

Thanks T.C.

Great to see that the game's getting the media attention it deserves.

I may have to put my scarf through the wash for the first time in about 20 years.

No! You cant wash your scarf! It will wash all the luck out of it!

That reminds me….I must spray some Lynx of my lucky FA Cup pants. They haven’t seen the washing machine since our 8-2 victory over Welwyn Garden City on the 15th September…………

I can undestand Olegs comments. BBC Essex went through a period of extreme Chelmsford bias & I gave up listening.

But if they've changed & are being as supportive to BTFC as you describe, then I'll certainly tune in & give them another try.

Well done BBC Essex, especially "Gooner Claret"! (think I got that right Glenn?).

to add to my original comment ...there is a bias towards chelmo..

I do listen on a regular basis and lately they have tried to be more inclusive not just to btfc but also to our fellow non league teams in the county.....so maybe they have got the message ...but anyway lets hope we give the media something to talk/write about on sunday....come on you blues
