'Spurs are on their way to Enfield!'

“Or they [spurs] could develop one of a couple of possible sites in Enfield, but that would mean a new stadium quite some distance from their current ground. Redeveloping White Hart Lane is definitely the number one choice and Paul Phillips, a project manager at Emirates, is also helping Tottenham.”

 

Reading between the lines, I'm not convinced that the redevelopment of White Hart Lane is their number one choice!

Their lead option is sharing with West Ham United! Imagine Spurs and West Ham in Enfield!

I'm not sure where the BBC sourced this from, or where the 'lead option' thing came from, but according to the club's annual report and their website several options are being investigated including moving to a new site in Enfield and rebuilding the existing stadium.

 

Obviously the West Ham groundshare option that the BBC are speculating on would be temporary and not in Enfield!

Lead Option? Who said anything about West Ham coming to Enfield? Lead option would be to redevelop WHL (that would involve playing somehwere else for two seasons (West Ham has been mentioned along with a few other options).Second option would be for Spurs to build a new stadium in Enfield (if they can't get planning permission to expand WHL).

Where is all this definitive information coming from? The club has made no announcement other than to announce that there is no announcement.

 

They have said that a decision will be made and announced in the first half of 2008.
