at thames road. concord v barkingside. barkingside had 100% record until they got beat by enfield saturday. they cant afford 2 defeats in a week. concord already lost 2 games and if they really are going to win the league they cannot lose. my money is on a very tight game with concord squeezing a 2-1 win. what does everyone else reckon? the stakes for this one are pretty big.

barkigside is one of beggsy old clubs as well always slightly more up for them games. concord just cannot lose and for that reason i think they will get the result. but if barkingside get an early break and take the lead i would not fancy chasing the game.

Concord 0- 1 Barkingside.

 

Barkingside brute of a centre half scored scrappy goal in middle of fist half, game was pretty even. second half, Concord bossed the game were absolutlely peppering Barkingside but to be fair Side defended well. Concord perhaps should of had a penalty due to handball in box but ref waved it away, and also had one cleared off the line after a slip from Barkingside keeper. Concord deserved the win, but Barkingside got the 3 points and thats all that matters.

 

P.S. great bit of banter 75 minutes in, 15 man melee was great for the crowd.
