PASSING SKILLS

theres hoofball, and kick and hope, sadly we fall into the later, by not looking up, kicking it and hoping, someone on our side is there, most times it goes straight to the opposition, and then straight back to our penalty area, via a pass to a opposition feet, as they take the time to look up and play a pass rather than kick and hope.

The opposition have an influence in this as well though. If they're proficient in closing you down and cutting off angles for passes, you may feel forced to play it long and aimlessly even if you intended to pass it short.

Read what is attributed to Liam in the NLP match report. In a nutshell he complained that the players aren't doing on the field the tasks he brought them into the club to perform and he won't be giving them too many more chances to improve. And his aim is to have a passing team. Perhaps things have changed since Onome was with us? The evidence is however that route one is still the usual order of the day.

I think you are being a tad unfair KMJ we do play some good football at times but not every week and certainly not when we go behind.
A prime example was last years home match against Weymouth, we played some lovely stuff right up to the moment they scored and didn't string two passes together afterwards.

Weymouth at home is a good example of a real game of "two halves". You are right. We played really well in the first and yet were a different team in the second half.

The long ball has its place, but I feel that we are more exciting when we play a passing game.

Liam also went along the lines of this on Radio Kent this morning. Although he likes the players he's getting little fed up with having to repeat his instructions to some of the players time after time. If it continues, there could be some players on the move.

It's good to see that all that passing practise is paying off for York. Lost to Havant 1-0 today in cup.

except for the last 20 mins york were better than us today, their PASSING in difficult conditions was better and their striker (sodje) takes his chances when given.
