Hello all Margate fans.

My name is Gary, and together with my friend Jake, we are going on an FA Trophy Adventure this season. Starting with Leamington FC we watched the preliminary round and have followed them since because they have kept winning. However, if Margate beat them on Tuesday, we will follow Margate until they get beat, and so on all the way to Wembley.

Jake cannot make it on Tuesday, so I alone will be travelling to the game. If you spot me (See website for picture. I am the one without ginger hair!) please say hello and tell me about your club or whatever you want to tell me about!

 

The Leamington fans have been more than friendly to us so far, and have even printed some match reports in their fanzine. Margate FC has a tough act to follow!

 

I look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, and possibly in the next round too.

Thank you very much to the Margate fans who I bumped into last night. It was very nice to meet you all. Unfortunately I am going to be dragged around by Leamington FC for a little while longer, but I wish you and your club all the best for the rest of the season.

 

Margate has a great bunch of fans as far as I could tell and all were very gracious in defeat. I have to admit that I wasn't looking forward to the long trip south yesterday, but I'm really glad I made the effort. Watching non-league football is proving to be much more fun than watching the money infested upper tiers of the pyramid.

 

Thanks again to Margate FC and its supporters.
