Have I missed something or has there been a rule change?In our cup game at Ongar today as usual at this level linesman from each side,Ongar were attacking and the ball went out for their throw which the ref awarded,our linesman had his flag up for a foul against our player,the ref asked him why he had flagged and disagreed with our lino,no problem,the lino rightly or wrongly said to the ref why am i here if you are not listening to me,the referee then asked us to change the lino and then awarded a direct free kick just outside our box against the lino from which they scored.( the ref actually said "i am giving a direct free kick against the linesman")To make matters worse one of their players took a swing at one of ours when i complained to the ref he said he did not see it so he couldnt give it I cant argue with that,then later a little bit of handbags behind refs back and he sent our centre back off when i asked him what he had seen he said"I didnt see anything but as i have already booked your player i decided to send him off" I am afraid to say for the first since i have been a manager/coach (15 years)I was booked and asked to leave the dugout,Please dont let me hear you fellas moaning about officials in the ESL you dont know when your well off. angry

Sorry to hear that :(You sound like Coachie with the slight difference that he behaves on the touchline and never gets sent off.No worry you'll get away with that,no touchline ban. grin
