I thought he said something to Sue too, an idea which was probably his least intelligent, its one thing to pick on Slough fans and another to pick on Sue! tongue

He also accused us of not being able to take losing...which I found quite funny given our form in the last 18 months!!

As I said, he is a wind up merchant. I was behind Sue, and he was shouting back at her,Let's be fair, Sue NEVER takes any crap, and she was giving him some back. I'm sure, it wasn't meant as athreat, and I'm sure if it was a threat do you think Aiden, or the other big lad there (apologies for not knowing the name) would have just stood there? let alone anybody else? He's a mate but if I thought he had threatened her I would would have pulled him! Just a Knob being pissed acting like a buffoon.

I agree with Marcus, think the first apology was Bogus, but convinced the one above, where it mentions Me and Gibbo, is Legit.

SUE. I will come and see you next game, I will make sure he apologieses to you personally at the Didcot game. Said before, he can be a c0ck(as we all saw!) but he meant no harm.

pointless us arguing about it

Especially as there is no mention of threatening women or nearly garotting your own child on a low metal post.

Thats a pathetic post Don and almost as disrespectful to Didcot Town FC as the toothless one was to Slough fans on Saturday.
Perhaps we can expect an apology?

Let me get this right, you think someone from Didcot, an official possibly, has tried to post an apology on behalf of this bloke. In caps locked and in a fairly obscure writing style.

And then later, the real bloke comes on (in your opinion someone else), and writes also in Caps lock and in same style as if he's all part of an elaborate PR mission.
Do you not think we've got better things to do?
I suggest you ask the bloke, looks like his name is Paul, whether he posted both messages when you see him in 3 weeks time.

(And here's a giveaway, look how they 'both' spell apologise...)

Where did anyone mention a Didcot official?

As Marcus and I Both said, we thought they were bogus. It was our thoughts.

AND WE CAN ALL COME AND WRITE IN CAPS IF WE WANT !

The apology on your site was by an ianj. Now I KNOW the toothless idiot. and his name isn't Ian! maybe he used somebody elses login? It would not be beyond the bounds of possibilty that someone, thinking it would help ease any bad feelings, put up an apology ? If it is Paul who did the first one so be it.

If I think the second one is him how do i think that is PR? Especially as it is Addressed to ME, Tony. A name which is not shown on here? And I doubt if many on this forum, even any, know Gibbo! That's how I know the second is definitley from Paul.

If you are biting to couple of off hand statements, then you obviously haven't got anything better to do!

I'm sorry if it looks like I over-reacted to this, but I did feel annoyed even at the suggestion that someone at the club (whether that be official or supporter) manufactured a bogus apology especially when all the evidence points to the two messages being from the same guy. (the caps, the spelling etc.)

By the way the message from ianj on our site clearly suggests he's copied that apology from your forum (it says 'On Slough website' in red).

I'm not going to get into a protracted argument over what was, to be honest, a fairly innocuous situation on Saturday that got out of hand. All clubs have people who go over the top, there's even a comment on the Southern League forum from a Burnham fan who was verbally abused by Slough idiots last week, and I think Didcot tried to deal with this situation properly. We will speak to 'Paul' and warn him about his future behaviour.

Lets draw a line under this and move-on.

No worries Tony, but just to clarify Lynn and I were having words with him but it was more about our concern for his child not about us loosing, in fact I think we were quite happy at scoring three goals until he came over and spoilt it.

Anyway as said above lets move on.

Ali is one of the ball boys for Burnham and is genuine. He does get his wire pulled by many at the club and usually takes it in good part. There were one or two people at the end of the game who were abusive especially to the ref, but I have no evidence whether they were Slough fans or neutrals of whom we know there were a number; I did not recognise them as Burnham Fans. (Yes, we do have some, not a lot, but they do exist. We even have season ticket holders.) The comments made were objectionable in that they did not relate to her reffing ability, (which is fair game) but were of a very personal nature (which is not).

Incidentally there was a comment about how many attended the Slough game; people thought it was less than the official 361. I asked the Club Vice-chairman and money man and he assures me that it was correct and tallied with his acid test - did it match the money - and it did. In fact he told me he actually did a rough headcount of those he could see from the boardroom window during the game and got a similar number. Somebody suggested as it was a headcount that perhaps STFC fans had two heads, but we knew that couldn't be true as we were sure they would NOT pay full price twice, even to watch Burnham! (Just in case, that is intended as banter!)

He is a very honourable man of the old school and I would not doubt his word for a moment.

So thank you for coming! Hope your season picks up soon.
