was they yer reserves?

In what sense of the word was that a reserve side? All of the outfield ten play regularly for the first team and only Batch and Blewer, who were subs, are reserve players.

We were woeful, didn't want to be there and were a thorough waste of money. The only good thing to come out of the game was the return of Glen Johnson. I was and am very pleased he played. Is he back for good?

Get the feeling we had one eye on the FA Trophy match on Saturday.

Saying that we were quite appalling, and I wouldn't have blamed anyone for going home at half time we were that bad.

All you can do is move on to the next game. I'm sure the players will be smarting from that defeat and will be looking to put a performance on, on Saturday.

I think dog [****!!****] is the right description for Tuesday's performance. If there had to be a nominee for Canvey's Man of the Match it would have to be Glen Johnson, although Leon did well for what he could and Stuart Batch did well for his part. The way our Midfield is currently performing, I'd consider him for a starting place unless we change our formation, at least he gives 110%.

Noticed also that Daryl Bergouis had an amazing game at the back for Heybridge with Tobi Jinadu who was immense for Aldershot last time I saw him play. What I'd give for our Club to gain a Defender like them.

The real question is did the Management and/or Players want to be there, and if not how can they then justify charging full-price to watch that crap. Some people left when we went 3-0 down! Think our Reserves game last night would've been much more value for money.

Come on, the real man of the match has to be the Canvey supporters who stayed on til the final whistle, no player from Canvey deserves any credit. But as i mentioned in my last post John did change to 4-4-2 and we looked more balanced, i know Hullbribge had taken thier feet off the peddles by then but we did create some chances.

I'd be very worried if we lost 5-0 to Hullbridge!!!

Actually thought Dan Francis had a good game. Apart from that, all rather poor.

Sadly as always it comes down to money, i`m convinced that if we could have found the money to keep Bourgeois our results and league position would be a lot better but if you havn`t got it you can`t spend it.

Bourne is one of our more consistant players, you are pretty much gonna get a good performance from him 99% of the time.

From what I've heard the problem lies in that there are a couple of "wantaway" players that just turn up to get paid, which is affecting other members of the squad. That and their seems to be a divide amongst the experienced players that've been brought in and those that progressed from the Reserves.

For me, our problem is our total lack of communication amongst those on the pitch and those on the sidelines.

Bourney is top draw, no doubt about it.

MattCIFC - there's players like that at nearly every club, when you drop them, and cut their pay packet they either leave, or get their arses in gear.

Might sound ridiculous, but surely Craig (Davidson) can use his position within SEEVIC to bring in some fresh talent? SEEVIC arguably are still one of the strongest footballing colleges around.....

Is there not a meeting at the club and these points could be raised? the majority of it seems plausible enough, i do think the management and players should be accountable to the fans, after all they pay the wages. Maybe you should form Canvey Ultra's and storm the training ground?

Just a thought.....

No doubting Bourney's qualities but he really needs to work on his crossing. Can be a very frustrating player at times but he's definitely talented

Defensively yesterday he was outstanding. At times he lost the ball but almost always won it straight back.
