Rob H - The Terminator

Thought I'd just like to say keep up the good work Rob Haworth. By his standards he had an off day on Monday but it's obvious that he plays for the shirt week in week out and has been our best player this season so far.

 

Think it was June that gave him the nickname the Terminator. How true. He doesn't seem to know the meaning of a lost cause. How many times this season has he chased lost causes down for us. Great work. A true fans favourite.

I for one will go with all that. Jacko is a similar player who,like Rob,continually encourage other players around them too. Neither of these two give up the ghost.

Rob to me is Roy of the Rovers, what I think of as a true old-fashioned, never say die, battling centre forward.

 

If I were a bloke I would probably envy him, being big and handsome and admirable and good at football and all.

I did like it at Heybridge when he used a 4 letter word which his mother heard and when pointed out to her she said it must have been something he learnt from the playground.

 

Keep up the passion and aggression Rob you are a good example to all young aspiring footballers.

I think we forget to praise the old fashioned 'die for the club type'.

 

This guy is in the Collins bracket. Came unfit and rather out of it and he has turned himself into a real trier.

I have sponsored both Jimmy (last season) and Rob (this season) exactly for the reason they always give it 110% IMO. Plus both great to chat to after the game too, a credit to the club. Rob's Mum and sister, Amanda, are lovely people too.

Many thanks for your kind words regarding Rob and his family. I agree that Rob tries to give 100% every game. With regards to a small blip in an off performance on Monday, this was infact down to Rob being unwell. When he came off he was extremely ill. He had to stop off 3 times on the way home and had to be followed by the lads who ensured he was ok. We think it was a bug of some sort which he caught from his children. He is ok now and we are ensuring that he will be on top form for Saturday where hopefully he will score a hat trick!!!

Definately saw he had trouble Monday as Joseba pointed out to me late in the game Rob looked dead on his feet.

 

That did not stop him still trying to chase after every ball and getting himself into positions to receive passes.
