Players of a certain age...

Apologies if this has been covered, but didn't all clubs receive a letter at the start of the season saying that Under-16s were not allowed to play at Senior level this season?

Ergo, how come 15-year-old John Bostock was allowed to come on as sub for Palace on Monday evening?

In the Boro home match programmes the U16s and U18s are placed under a page heading of "Romford FC Academy".

Does this mean that we are exempt from that ruling too?

Subject to an OK from the FA. Player by player and match by match one presumes?

Coupy if you go on the fa web-site,look at the fa rules for 2006-07.they are in there under rules for young players outside the centre of excellence and academies. It a tipical example of FA policy of using two different standards, one for the rich and one for the poor, forgetting that the rich ones are only few thousands and half of them foreigner, while the poor are millions and 88% British. What about if the poor form another FA with no contacts whatsoever with the dictatorial regime. How long you think they are gonna survive? smile
