Who's Going To Play Against Hitchin?

Recommended Posts

With all our injuries at the moment who is actually going to start against Hitchin? There are apparently injuries to JJ, Penn, Gilley, Adedeji, Henty, Ansell, Fewings, Wallace. Will any be able to make the trip, or will we have to stick Calder and Borg on the pitch? Not that Borg would last long, probably would get sent off for abusive language to the referee.

With these injuries the team would have to be: Fay, Savidge, Kerrigan, Pitts, Alexander, R Graham, Williams, Morris, M Graham, Douglas, Church. Would have to be 3-5-2 formation.

Although I hope we beat Hitchin it seems difficult with injuries and the fact we only drew away at other relegation strugglers Enfield and Heybridge and lost to Bishops Stortford.

I predict we will win 1-0, but could see us only getting a draw.

With the injuries we've got I think any sort of result will be doubly valuable. Our last few visits there have been pretty rubbish too...... That said if a few of the walking wounded can lift themselves maybe we can nick a win! Would guess that Fewings would be most likely to play out of that lot. Can't see Henty or Adedeji making it after both limped off saturday. Can we nominate Dave Lawson for player of the month for march?

Soccer: Town young guns look set to figure

Billericay Town's small squad will likely face extra pressures tonight when they visit a Hitchin side battling against the drop in the Ryman League Premier Division.

With striker Jamie Wallace still nursing a groin injury, goalkeeper Jerome John plus outfield players Ollie Adedeji, Gary Henty and Russell Penn may all miss this evening's action due to knocks.

It could give a chances to two youngsters who have recently joined the New Lodge set-up, Chris Church and James Alexander.

Hitchin are currently in 21st position but, with four teams due to make the drop, are slap bang in danger of going down, but did pick up a useful point in a 1-1 home draw with Purfleet on Saturday.

Billericay boss Gary Calder said: "It's certainly all hands to the pump this evening.

"The only bright news is that young defender Danny Gilley, who missed Saturday's game at Enfield through injury, could be fit to return.

"However, whatever team we put out we'll be looking to continue our run of three League games without defeat."
