Crikey PB, what happened ??

Ash beat Chessington and Hook 4-0 at Chessington last night in the Surrey senior Cup.

Just saw that result Johnno, very good considering Chessington's recent form.

It should have been more. 0-0 at half time. Three cleared off the goal line 1st half. The 4th goal was calamity Jane like. Centre forward shoots on the turn from 18yds....it trickles to the keeper, i turn away and call our forward a **** for not setting someone up - next thing i know the ball is in the net!!

 

Supposedly it slipped thru his hands and legs. I think the keeper had had enough and picked it up and threw it in the net.

We defended like complete kents. To be fair to E & E they took the chances we gave them well and front 2 looked lively. Thought we would get back into it after clawing back to 4-3 then centre back goes and gets sent off!!!!

 

Fuming would be an understatement, not just with the sending off, performance but the whole night.

Cracking game down at Krooner, superb finishing by our lads, and some great defending when required.

 

Even rattled had a good game

 

But enough about the form team of the moment taking part in a game full of excitement and goals, let's talk about bloody Dorking...

Are you sure it was 9 changes Chess???

 

Only spotted about 4 or 5 different players!!!

 

It's not like they were reserves or anything. A few of the changes were on the Chessington bench for Saturdays match.

And at 2-0, your substitutions that come on were players from Saturdays starting 11. We still made it 4, even though your keeper was secretly playing for Ash.

 

 

We had 3 or 4 changes too. Admittedly they were enforced changes due to injuries.

 

So the Surrey Cup not on Chess & Hook important list then??

 

We look forward to visiting Leatherhead in the next round as we owe them for knocking us out of the FA Cup last season 3-2 in injury time.

Oh yes.... and how we all look forward to playing on the hallow turf. I wonder weather the away changing room showers will work on this occasion.

 

Maybe now that the plans for a Sainsburys has fallen thru the club might consider bringing the ground back up to Combined Counties Step 5 level. Cos at the moment Dorking can not boast a good pitch, nor decent changing rooms, nor a decent team. Although i have to say the club house aint bad....

 

Come on Dorking FC....pull ur finger out!!

new on here and had always wondered how much fibbing goes on. just a quick one for mr johnnojudo. are you saying ash played people they shouldnt have because according to the teamsheet there were only 2 new names to your starting 11 to chessingtons 8 from saturday. i must also add 4 of the 16 played for the 2's on saturday. all said and done you were the better side and there is no excuse no matter who plays. just wanted to set the record straight. to prove there is no hard feeling i felt you should/could have won on saturday too.
