I've got vague recollections that we had MOTD highlights of a previous 1st round tie at NL didn't we? (albeit about 30 seconds).

 

I can't believe I would've wiped that video tape. Maybe I still have it somewhere.

Still doesn’t take away that we’re playing a league club in the FA Cup 1st round though!

 

I would imagine there is a good possibility we’ll still be moved to a Sunday lunchtime kick off as Southend are at home too and Essex Police probably couldn’t cover both games on the same day.

That wasn't "highlight's" they were showing "the goals".

 

All the goals are shown for first round ties, but no cash for that.

It has to be an official highlight's package to gain any cash.

First time v Wisbech I thought they only showed 2 Wisbech goals, none of ours and when we played Stevenage they didn't show the goal on MOTD Saturday night, you had press the red button during the live game on BBC to see the goal, then they missed it and was shown on Soccer AM saying the camera man has too much to drink!

Last time there were Premier League games on the same day as the FA Cup 1st Round and they only showed extended highlights of one game and the goals of upsets.

I'm not that surprised they are showing Torquay v Yeovil live, if they want a game with an upset then there is probably more chance of that happening at Torquay than our game. Also they have to pick the game before we know where and when our game is, Billericay v Swansea at Roots Hall (for example) probably isn't that exiciting for them.

Finally I don't think the viewing figures for any game they show will be that great, most neutrals probably couldn't give a monkey's about the FA Cup 1st Round as there are no Premier League teams playing, I know I don't watch until the 3rd Round (once we've been knocked out)

I was expecting extended highlights but not live.

I'm sure others will disagree but thats my opinion.

I do think we may have been overlooked as the BBC boffins reckon there is zero chance of an upset and that we will get spanked.

a big let down by the bbc, but just a thought if the game is moved to sunday maybe it will be shown, because in wales we have soccer sunday on itv, dont worry it may happen yet, oh by the way 4-0 to the swans
