Another defeat for basildon united today, the caretaker manager has now been in charge now for 3 or 4 games and under his guidance lost all of them, previous to this im told he was manager of the reserves team at basildon utd who currently are bottom of the league that they play in,the caretaker/reserve manager has so ive be told applied for the current vacant 1st team managerial post, this person with all due respect has no experience at 1st team level, the reserves of whom he has managed have been borttom of their respective league while under his management,my opinion is that if he gets the job as 1st team manager at basildon then his appointed would be a step in the wrong direction.

Behave yourself! First game was a Essex Senior Cup game v Halstead Town, which they only just lost 3-4.

Second game was away to a strong Barking outfit, 0-0 at half time. Read the Barking website for the match report to see how much Basildon battled.

Finally today's game v Sawbo. 1-0 up then lost it through a couple of defensive lapses.

It would be different if the manager had come in after a string of victories, but he hasn't, he is attempting to stop the rot and he has defintely got the support of the board and players!

BTW, the ressies are bottom, but that is largely due to the fact that due to the extraordinary injuries the first team have suffered, John H was forced to use the ressies, which meant the ressies had to field U16s and U18s to fill the gaps!

I can't believe I'm on here defending Bas Utd!!! grin

Ben Turner's second goal for Romford wasn't actually a penalty, his spot kick was parried by the keeper and Turner netted the rebound.

And what's this, not a renowned Bowers goalkeeper moonlighting for Clapton as an outfield player and scoring a hat-trick? Shome mistake shurely!

hookey with all due respect and i dont know you personally how can the committee of basildon united f.c even consider giving the vacant managerial post to the reserve manager, when the following is apparent, the current caretaker manager has none of the following.

1.No experience at managing at senior 1st team level.

2 The reserves who he has been manager of with players that he has brought in and are now playing 1st team football are simply nor good enough.
