correct-not happy.

A draw away from home is ok, so should not moan, but its just so annoying that our defensive problems were there for everyone to see, except the manager from June onwards;and whilst other clubs are signing defenders, RT just does not seem able to .

Better still-as a defender himself, you would expect him to be able to coach a defence into some sort of order

If you said draw today and win next sat. then would take that.

Just the matter of folkestone to deal with monday night.

Fed up with talking about our defence-frustrates the nuts off me- that RT was apparently blind/stubborn to the matter until his recent proclamation about needing defenders-we were telling him that in August.

Like last season though with a third striker, i suspect he will 'talk the talk' about signing defenders, but not 'walk the walk'.

There must also be the small matter of funding them i suspect

I hope i'm wrong.

Must not forget that we have gone from 12th to 10th today.

Where might we have been if we had a defence

As a neutral I attended the game today, and IMO Heybridge were very careless to have lost. The MFC defence was pretty scarey, Young was guilty of half a dozen fouls on their no 9 Marks, was apparently yellow carded, but continued with at least two bad tackles, but the ref left him with only a yellow - kind man.Howarth was magic all afternoon, but no-one else really shone. Charlie Side kept on running but he tired essentially. Jim Jackson also tried hard but Gate were lucky to take a point, as Swifts had three penalty shouts turned down towards the end despite the Ref being assessed who was always behind play. Yet another set of officials not doing credit to our league. A good point won, but the defence is still wobbly.

We came away with a creditable draw but in reality should have actually won it by at least 2 clear goals. Heybridge No 9 'Elbows' Marks not satisfied with using his most effective weapon on Jay twice in the first 10 minutes then used a full blooded one to Jacko's chin which the ref did not see when he was 2 yards away. Thier 1st and 3rd goals were real crackers and nothing could have stopped them. Rob the Terminator scored 2 cracking goals and celbrated his second by blowing kisses to his Mother and Sister. I think Louis came off due to an injury and hope he recovers for Monday night. Must say it was a typical physical Heybridge performance however thier No2 seems as if he did a very nasty injury to his knee when his studs stuck in the ground.

All in all it was an improvement on recent form and hope we have turned the corner.
