The last two seasons Ferguson has screwed up against non-league opposition, would he make the same mistake three times in a row?

Does the Pope sh*t in the woods?

Of course if we get drawn against Arsenal their schoolboys would pee all over us but we should be capable of spanking Tottenhams first team (if they have got one by January)

Who cares? We aren't going to win the thing anyway.

Third round, no good getting drawn at home to a big club.
Switching any tie away from Stonebridge Road would only serve to add money to the FA coffers.
Huge away payday is the only desire.

Congratulations to a well prepared Exeter side, who made us look unimaginative up front, lightweight in midfield & tactically naive at the back. I wonder if the Cassandras on Exeweb will have the grace to admit they might have got it wrong about their manager & his team? One of those games when you wish the sponsors can do what they allow at Altrincham & award the man of the match to one of the opposition if they deserve it.

Yet again the chance to make a bit of money & actually get noticed by Joe Public slips through our fingers. At the moment I feel very low & cannot see us holding onto a squad that can compete next season. Back to under 850 for the next home match & a situation where full time football just isn't sustainable.

With Chukki out injured and Hastings having finished his loan spell we lok very lightwight upfront.

George put in a lot of effort but he looks more effective wide on the left than as a striker. Nade won a few balls in the air but nobody looked like getting on to his knock downs.

Exeter are a useful side and deserved their win.

I hope Macca and Chukki are back for next Saturday.

I hate the FA Cup.

The one big chance we had to get the name of Ebbsfleet United around the country, and we've blown it, although maybe I shouldn't be surprised following our track record.

Hats off to Exeter, they used their aerial prowess well, making sure the ball was in the wings ready to be sent in.

Well done to Lance Cronin, I don't know what happened for the first goal which he might have been to blame for, but for the rest of the game he was outstanding and don't know how he was beaten to the man of the match award.

The team, however, looked lacklustre. We took the lead through a good enough goal, but for the rest of the match, hopeless balls over the top just wasted possession. Whenever Nade latched onto a through ball, no-one had the common sense to run on to the ball, meaning Exeter's keeper who had brilliant distribution, collected it.

There was little cohesion between defence, midfield and attack, which is always the case with 4-4-2 more than 3-5-2, and once we went 2-1 down, heads dropped and didn't look back up.

Purcell's performance was good to see. He doesn't always get the finished product, but considering his age, he looks very confident and full of flair.

You can, but any revenue above that of the home club's actual ground capacity goes to the FA.

It was Farnborough, or rather, Graham Westley, publicly dithering over whether to switch their match to Highbury for the money that was the catalyst for the introduction of that ruling.

Hence my comment about an away payday.

Still it doesn't matter for another season now.

Sorry about this. But I am not convinced that Lance Cronin is the stopper for us. He is unable to command the 6 yard area as he should do. First goal he failed to hold on to the ball. The other two goals he just watched them float by. Credit to him for saving the penalty though. Peter Hawkins and Georgie Purcell ran their socks off, as did McPhee. Even my favorite player 'Sacha' seemed a little out of sorts. But never mind eh. Theres always next season.
