I have a horrible feeling that part of my contract includes 2 weeks in June when we're not allowed to take holiday because the Library closes and gets completely rearranged, but I shall do my best. Does anyone have any thoughts on whether we would go up there on the Wednesday or the Thursday? Don't say Friday, cos that would just be silly.

Go up there first thing on Wednesday morning and get near the main stages, I'd have thought.

You're right on the time, but you may be better a bit further away from the action, it is a massive site after all. I was right by the perimiter and it was better because we were closer to water and the lavs, that's where you want to be, especially when you need the loo in the middle of the night due to excessive drinking, not that I would ever imagine any of you getting drunk.

I think near the main stage is far too busy. We need one of the feilds by the track to the main stage and right in the corner all taped off and nice. The main stage is only about a minutes walk from there!

Doesn't it start on Friday? I went up on Thursday morning last time and it was pretty dead still. But Wednesday morning will be fine, although I may come up after my radio show on the Wednesday, I'll just give you my tent (when I've brought one) to take (and put up)

It starts on Friday, but last time we went on Wednesday. Then you can just spend Thursday looking around and getting pissed!

Can you buy tickets by cheque? That's what I did last year for Reading because my Visa Electron doesn't work over the phone/internet and I don't want to use my parents card if its gonna cost 105quid(plus I want to buy it without them knowing!)

Regarding the day-of-arrival situation, having been to Reading last year I think Wednesday is the best day to go up. We set off really early on thursday morning for Reading and the traffic was dreadful. We got there late aftenoon and there was hardly any good spots left to camp!
