Didn't go tuesday..thank god!

Quick few qusetions.

Did we like saturday...

........play a ridiculous looking formation?

........look uninterested in midfield?

........make the wrong substituion?

........have a defence with no real full backs and yet play Ellis in midfield?

So glad of my season ticket?!?!?!?!

I know we are not allowed to say this..but.....

we're crap, and we are going to finish in the bottom 3, if not bottom....unless things change...........NOW!

Well my response would be:

No - it was a standard 4-4-2

No - the midfield was definitely interested as Wilko played himself and was typically combative

Don't think so - Harper went off with a slight niggle and was replaced by another defender, John Ellis went off for Roddis and DJ went off for Salaka who laid on the goal. I think DJ may have been being eased back in with an eye to Saturday.

Yes and no - the full backs were Harper and Mills. Harper is good at right back by Mills is no left back.

But we were outclassed and never really looked like winning the game.

Must agree with the above comments, despite the scoreline last night was better than Farnborough and Bridgwater put together. We created chances had a few shots and scored a goal which was well taken but obviously way too late.

I think that our new players will come good, West looked reasonable last night with some good touches and headers and his goal was a good finish, Salaka set up the goal but he doesnt seem to have much pace, the new defender (Talley) looked reasonable in his short debut too.

I don't think that getting rid of Wilko is the answer, but agree to the idea of getting rid of Roddis and Betts and bringing in an experienced manager above Wilko, but can we afford anyone else??

Sometimes things were looking ok, but we are not consistant enough throughout the match unfortunately. Our youngsters look good but are too small and easily pushed off the ball, but when they get a chance they do use it.

A win is a must on Saturday, get the confidence levels up a bit before we play Didcot again in 10 days or so.

Dave with 4 pints was an experience hopefully never to be repeated! Least we now don't have the expense of a home game to try to host in next round! Took them nearly all of first half to work out that the Didcot keeper was always releasing to the left back as Stan, who appeared to be sole striker at times, was closing keeper down and leaving left back free. Told by Daly, and Wilko to split the centre and left backs and to leave the keeper, but didn'. Know he's a kid, think he may have potential, but needs to listen. Towards end of first half Didcot were taking the piss, they were just playing triangles across their defence and trying to draw us in, bit like the Liverpool teams of the 70's and 80's.

The best thing about Slough last night was the fans. As usual they made 90 mins of crap football easier to take. On the pitch we had absolutely no [****!!****] and either didn't challenge or were all too easily knocked off the ball. Stan and Tom tried as hard as anyone so credit to them considering they are the youngsters. No 10 (west) was nearly as mobile as a lampost and talley maclarge didn't get stuck in enough for a centre back either. I'll be interested to see how fatboy salaka turns out 'cos at least he's big enough to have a go. We need to get some steel and if we don't we might as well get Dave on the beer and stick him in some shorts.
