Really needs to have someone new in charge who can manage on a shoestring. It can be done, or Hendon wouldn't be where they are in the Ryman Prem. I'm a big fan of what Wilko has done for us on the pitch, but this current side is awful and it isn't getting any better.

Certainly not get rid of Wilko.

If people think the players are better than what they've produced so far, instead of getting rid of Wilko I would rather get rid of Roddis and Betts who are supposed to be the ones with all the experience and know how.

I'd then bring in an experienced manager and have Wilko as his understudy. This would give Wilko time to gain the neccessary experience required.

Just got back, umm what can I say, probably not the worst I've seen (then I suppose thats not the hardest competition to win), we actually had a few shots and some attacks, but no real cutting edge (though fair play they did try). Main trouble tonight, as usaul is they seemed to just be able to walk through us at times, and converted chances (though they could and probably should have hit 8 or more)

Plus sides, Barnard got a lot of practice, and pulled off quite a few saves. It was good to actually see some shots (even if they weren't too troubling to the keeper at times), oh and we scored!! (clutching at straws!)

On another note, if anyone has a large pair of shorts, I think they're needed at the club

To Reading Rebel and Tom,

I put a thread on here about a month and a half ago titled 'Controvesial subject-a new manager' saying exactly what you've just said in your above posts.I would like to see Mickey Lewis approached[if he's not in a football capacity at the moment] as I think he would make a good manager and keep Wilko as his assistant.Definitely get rid of Roddis and Betts who's tactical awareness I would liken to the old adage 'they can't run a piss-up in a brewery'!

This sounds odd after a 5-1 defeat but that was actually better than Saturday. We had several shots at goal and there were some positives. I hope we take that as a run out before the big one on Saturday. Another debutant, tall centre back whose name I can't remember apparently a friend of Barnard's.

I believe that both have effectively left the club. The management were struggling to get hold of CJ to check his availability etc and Lucas has been unavailable due to work commitments.

He was a sub, I nicknamed him Talley Maclarge, I thought he looked ok but by the time he came on the game was done and dusted. He seemed a mobile centre back which is always a bonus.

None of the goals really stand out in the memory - it seems to me they just worked the chances and took them quite well. Missed a few sitters as well.

When has CJ EVER wanted to play ball, other than on his terms?
