Kentish Town v Sport London e Benfica 10/11/07

Recommended Posts

Our early league game V Kentish Town at Lowfield was abandoned shortly into the second half due to one of our floodlights "smoking"......

Aparently, the ban extends beyond pubs and clubs and into sports arena lighting and equipment......

It's a 3.00 kick off, we won't need floodlights

I think that the league should get involved. If Kentish Town are going to play dirty tricks by not turning the lights on.

Does this mean that Kentish Town should get relegated if they refuse to turn on the floodlights eventhough they have them and reverse the leg-up that got them to Division 1?

That's another reason why I still don't think you're Portuguese born and bred as I wouldn't have thought that film Porkies would appeal to the latin sense of humour in the same way the Benny Hill humour and Carry On films didn't appeal to people from certain Countries and the open minded.

I think you'll find that Benny Hill was banned or at least excluded in England but appeared on TV screens everywhere else (including Portugal)!

Too much political correctness when it comes to sex and a bit of slap and tickle in England. Mary Whitehouse anoraks have a field day watching the programmes and prevent anyone else seeing them!

As for Porkies, lets face it you don't think do you. It is a classic in whatever language you care to mention.

Rhodes, you do get it wrong so many times that I think you need to travel more often. See the rest of the world, meet new people, instead of this biased, closed world of an ignorant cretin!

It's true that, unlike you, I haven't travelled extensively other than to Scandinavia, Holland, Germany, France and Italy however that doesn't make me ignorant as you seem to be suggesting. It's common knowledge that some Countries frown upon British humour whereas some love it such as Albania where Norman Wisdom is concerned, I wouldn't have thought that Porkies would be the Portuguese and Spanish cup of tea that's all, if I'm wrong I'll happily hold my hands up.

Actually I found that quite amusing, what it's saying is that Portuguese people work hard, play hard and go to Church on Sunday's, they play everything by the book and nobody's got a bad word to say about them.

In what sense, I paid Portuguese people a compliment in my earlier post as they're all decent Godfearing people
