The Season So Far....

Recommended Posts

Don't know whether anyone has noticed that someone called Lee Scott has been bangin' them in for Kentish Town, and really brought them back into the frame!

The next 7 days will be a good yardstick to see how Kentish Town are doing. Hoddesdon away then home to SLB. Saying that they have just beaten Haringey & Brache in October who are both in the top 4. Maybe Rhodes will have something to shout about after all at the end of the season.

They need to tighten up their defence if they want to be among the top sides - no good relying on scoring more than their opponents - two points dropped at home yesterday by not achieving this.

I'm glad someone has woken up and smelt the coffee!

I am a little surprised that people have failed to mention what solid starts to the season Cheshunt and New Bradwell have made. I have watched Cheshunt, they seem to be a young side, well marshalled and drilled from the side by a very competitive manager. New Bradwell also seem to be difficult to beat, although they haven't score too many goals. I have only watched them once, against SLeB, a game which they won comfortably.

That's because the New Bradwell St Peter substitutes alegedly hid match balls under their track suit tops in the dugout to play for time. New Bradwell will give most teams a good game this season and we're not looking forward to going there on Saturday week.

It was good of the courts to allow Lee Scott special dispensation to play against us on Tuesday night. Rhodes must have the legal skills and prowess in the same league as OJ Simpsons lawyers!!

I was at the game. There is no slope, as Eagles called it. There was banter between the benches, but nothing out of the ordinary. Fair game, fair result as far as I saw. Do clubs really need to "play for time" if they lead the game comfortably 2-0? Match balls hidden? We only have Eagles version of events for that and by his own admission, he wasn't at the game. Rhodes up to his usual non-informed best methinks.

Why do you think 'Sugar' doesn't want to take me on legally, I actually know Sir Ian Blair personally!
