Erm, I would have thought it a no brainer for you given your clubs stated ambition of being a Conf national side in 5 years. But I am flattered you consider it to be such a big match in your calender, and for this season perhaps it is your cup final. For us, it will be interesting no doubt, but we're concentrating on other matters for now really.

On the funding front why single out Bigg Town for this? The Chairman has been fantastic for many, many years and funded the club at a level so that it can survive, as many, many other Chairmen do. It is debt free as well! This season we can afford to up the ante a little because of previous superb housekeeping and other factors have also allowed for that, we have a good behind the scenes team and a great management team as additional oh so important factors as well.

Whilst we're doing it in-house, your doing it a different way with the franchise thingy. We're striving to get a good balance and the facilities must come first in order for everything to pay for itself and to provide a comfortable facility. That's our priority and anything else is a bonus for us all.

Of course beating any club in a derby match is always nice, but it seems as though it will rock your world more than ours this season.

The setup and management team you have now is very good, past years have been poor at best i am reliably informed, so im not sure how to take your "good housekeeping " remark. I have said on previous posts that the derby of previous years has been very tame, this year, with both clubs trying to move forwards, and the added bonus of Keith and Jacks defection for the Dorrington dollar, it is a game that is highly anticipated, and for me, games like this are why i play the game. Its highly unlikely i will be playing at wembley at anytime soon, so this will have to do!

If it means little to yourselves, maybe that will work to our advantage come the day.

Of course it is........thats why you walked out on Nick, one of your best mates who stuck with you through thick and thin throughout your career. All about enjoyment.......$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$$$$$$$$$

Good housekeeping, I meant in the purse strings department for the club, debt free, money in the bank etc.

I have heard that the derby in previous years has been tame, but didn't TJ after one defeat for you at Fairfield insist your players all went back to your own clubhouse and refused to allow anyone in to ours for sarnies post match drinks etc? Hmmm, sounds as though what should be a good rivalry on the pitch for 90 minutes gets hijacked and taken way too seriously by some! You won't find me behaving like that.

Robbie, it's football, it's a mad great game, it's passionate and it's something that the committed players want to achieve something in. Players can spot a bit of club ambition from a mile off, let's face it you did!

You'd be amazed and there's really no point trying to convince you otherwise that we have attracted some players this season for less money than they were previously on. Cash isn't the only thing that floats some players boats and I'm certain it isn't that way with you. People who generally claim success is bought by money alone are the ones who haven't a clue about running a football club and the overall experience you can give to a player. I'm convinced it will be even more so in a new comfortable ground with good facilities, hot food for players on training nights, quality changing rooms, a fully fitted gym available soley to club players 6 days a week, top notch physio suite, on site astroturf and training, good coaching and of course big nippled topless barmaids biglaugh

"The dorrington dollar", hahahaha, we're spending it wisely and the plan shows it is all paid for (every single penny) in about 30 months time. No tricks, no internet franchise, all fact.

Well perhaps there's your problem Robbie. A player who wants to achieve something and enjoy doing it, not just turn up at a social club every Saturday afternoon because it's something he's done for a while and he knows everyone.

Stevie

Me & jack go back a long way, harmless banter, i know why he left and i wish him all the best.

Just trying to defend Utd against Waders merciless taunts!

BTW why do you think i wouldnt get a game based on the squad before a ball was kicked?

If its because you think the current forwards are better, then fair enough.

Merciless? So harsh.

I wish you only well Robbie and I mean that - and don't forget I did attend training pre-season and saw what I saw, a young(ish!) man who sniffed a bit of ambition. I'm lovin that in players.

As for Utd, it's them who are claiming Conf National footy in 5 years, not me. I'm just in awe.

Alistair Campbell must on board!

At 28 (nearly) its hard to envisage better things for myself the SSML Step 5. Jack can play higher then step 5 thats 4 sure, pending his dodgy hamstrings pinging at christmas!

To be honest Stevie i dont think i would have got in - I think Steely with a nippy lad is Chris's preferred choice, i would have had to either play some blinding friendlies or bench it and wait for a chance - i need to be playing at my frail old age!!

Like you say though, banging them in so you never know!
