This i found funny! - Could you imagine a mass evacuation based on a football fan ! (well it made me laugh) laugh

Below from the Sudbury message bord attachment.....

"I'm a Lynn Fan and firstly would like to say hard luck, as you put in two good performances against us. I wish you well for the rest of the season.

But your post needs to be addressed, the Steward was not a "jobs worth" when he told you the air raid siren cannot be used in the ground. His reason for preventing you from using it is extremely valid

Being a town sat next to a tidal river we have a flood defence network in place, part of those defences are our flood SIREN early warning system.

So our "jobs worth" had good reason to prevent its delicate tones from being broadcast across the town."

So how do they tell the difference between a Flood Warning and an Air-raid?

It could be quite important. You'd look a bit silly puffing up your Lilo to protect you from the Russian Mig's! Or alternatively floating down the street on your tin-hat.

The flood warning is a consistent tone whilst an air-raid would be an undulating tone, so would be easy enough to decide whether you needed a lilo or a tin hat Rick. But when the "all clear" sounds, that's a different matter.
