I am off round the shop and hope to see that we are one up at least by the time I get back. I really do not want to have to do a whole programme this evening!!!

Just been on the phone to Mark. Apparently we are looking quite good. Standen and Macca looking solid in the middle. Macca happier alongside Deano apparently. Rob is working hard as usual and Jimmy has been putting in some good crosses. Young playing well and defence looking good too. Louis getting forward a bit more from right back as well so we must be seeing quite a bit of the ball.

Now that IS a good sign. Its also something that has been lacking in his play in that role & its something he needs to do more often.Might even get on the score sheet, who knows! Nah,thats proberbly asking for too much but good on Louis for being more adventurous.

Chalmers-Stevens made a comfortable save early in the second half from Mealor’s left-footed curling free-kick from 30-yards.

Margate’s best chance of this dour game, however, arrived after 52 minutes when Dean Standen whipped in a cross from the right and Haworth sent his powerful header just over the bar from eight-yards.

Aylesbury striker Nathan Graham glanced Nathan Liburd’s far-post cross past the near post after 58 minutes as the 279 crowd await some goalmouth action.

Charlie Side got behind the Ducks’ defence in the 70th minute, whipped in a cross, which was behind both Jackson and Haworth.

And Aylesbury United should have broken the stalemate moments later, but Margate had Chalmers-Stevens to thank, for saving Graham’s shot with his legs after the striker was played in by Sam Swonnell.

Come on Ian isn't the bloke who runs this KF site a Ramsgate fan. Nice of him to do updates but still a Rams fan. Of course he is going to "water" it "down" a bit. wink smile

Steve McKimm sent Side on his way down the right, but instead of shooting across the goalkeeper Side drilled his shot into the side netting with seventeen minutes of this dour clash remaining.

And Side rolled a shot just past the near post after Louis Smith rolled the ball into the right-sided midfielder.

And at the other end Swonnell’s shot deflected into Chalmers-Stevens’ arms, after his shot from 22-yards lacked any conviction.
