. W&F v Enfield - Mis Reporting

Blue Boy

Recommended Posts

I have read the posts on this forum and the report on the main site. Lets put a few things clear . A) There was no fight between Yr player Jamie Nay and Daniel Clarke B) Your spectator racially abused Clarke and then spat on him . That is totally disgusting and unacceptable behaviour and that is why the spectator was led out of the ground. The Referee and Linesman both saw the incident and heard what yr spectator said and the fact that he spat on Daniel Clarke - and this should form part of the Referees report. If you are going to make any postings please be fair and report what happened .

Bog off. I didn't go to the game because your club is a rip off club and stitched me up two years ago with your entry prices for kids. You bar is a joke, the ground a dump and every person I spoke to about the game confirmed that Clarke assaulted Nay. Here's wishing relegation on one of the scummiest clubs in the Ryman League.

i was there.

an clarkey, did assualt jamie nay.

he landed about 4 punches on his head.

and the supporter u refer to was jamie nay's dad.

and the people that were around him, say no racil abuse was throw at clakey, he was just called an animal.

and i agree with mr h, the ground is a dump, and how it go a ground grading, is beyond me.

and for fleecing people, no wonder there is no one in the bar.

£1.20 for a can of diet coke, is a joke.

so, i think, mr turvey and his mates on the ryman league, should actually goto the ground and look at the state ofit.

So a Town fan racially abused a player and spat at him? Mmm

Thats a very strong statement, and potentially libelous.I can't believe a Ton fan would do that, and i'm sure it would have been mentioned and criticised by fellow Town fans on this forum if it had happened.I've had three differnet reports that clarke punched our player whilst on the floor,i've also no doubt he gave it the 'big un' when a Town fan started shouting at him.Clarke has a big chip on his shoulder about ETFC,it was always going to kick off.He was just lucky on the day that our first choice defence was unavailable.

My friends - lets not get too abusive - just ask some of your Football Committee who will get ( or have already got ) the full report from the Referee - at least they know the truth of what happened . Given that both officials were v close to the incident if Daniel smacked yr guy 4 times on the head i am sure he would have got a straight red - the facts are that did not happen - the person who racially abused and spat may have been the players Dad but the simple fact is that he was at the game to support ETFC and not us - and you as a Club with a fine reputation should disown that sort of activity from anyone at a game who is supporting ETFC . Yr fan was being the animal not Daniel.

So officials always see punches and elbows, foul play..etc?? bigshock From my expreience it is a rarity when they DO spot foul play.Everyone spectator who was within 20 yards of the incident (including jamies dad) saw what happened.Thats why they were so angry.

Blue boy, you have twice accused Mr Nay of racial abuse. This could be considered a highly libelous statment and unless you can back up your accusations you could find yourself in court. So i suggest you pull your neck in a bit.

Since the racial abuse was heard and the spitting incident was seen by both the Ref and the Linesman on that side of the ground i dont think your libel accustaions will go too far . If i were Daniel Clarke i would go to the Police and make a report under the Race Relations Act - it is about time you accepted this because football would be much better with this nonsense eliminated from the game. I am surprised that no-one at ETFC has expressed any shame or said sorry about this incident.

Who heard this supposed racial abuse??? Certainly no one who was near the incident. If the ref saw spitting that is a seperate matter entirely.Calling someone an 'animal' because they had just hit your son in the face,is NOT racial abuse in any way.I'm sure he would have said that to any player that had done so,black or white. And if the ref does mention the things you claim in his report,it will probably be down in large part to you lot chipping away at him after the game urging him to add these things in his report that you insist you heard or saw.You can spot someone allegedly spit from 40 yards away, but not a flurry of punches.Very selective viewing. You'd put mr Wenger to shame.

Danny Clarke has had a chip on his shoulder as long as I can remember, I thought he would have grown up by now & known better,

If he had been that incensed by this so called "racial abuse" how comes he managed to stay a barrier width away from the guy and cry wolf? it was typical that he managed to make a song & dance about nothing, taking the refs attention from the actual incident, his behaviour on leaving the pitch was typical of what we have come to know too, no style no class just plain embarrasing.

For heavens sake he had scored two goals his team were winning 3-0 all he had to do was smile as he left the pitch in the knowledge that no matter what else he was the winner, but alas he wasnt.

Ease up fellas.

I didn't see the incident clearly from where I was but I do know Jamie is NOT a dirty player and for him to be on the ground for some time after a tussle with Daniel (who we all know from his town days).

If I saw Jamie (4 foot nothing) getting hurt by Daniel (6 foot) I might be more than a little upset and suggest he picks on someone his own size. If there was no physical assault that preceeded the abuse then daddy was a bit over the top. How is that for regret? But if there was a GBH that provoked the abuse then I think W+F should start the apologies!
