I'm sure Jim knew better than anyone else that Clarke is one trick pony who only scores when he can stay onside and then outrun opposing defenders.Good job we put the speedkings Tickner and Magona to mark him, and played a sweeper rather than easily catching him off-side with a flat defensive line.

update: Clarke punches Jamie Nay in the face ,and then almost has a fight with a Town supporter. Result: He only gets a yellow card,whilst the supporter is ejected from the ground.PRICELESS!

Lets hope so.Family illness or close family wedding..etc.

Update: Clarke is subbed before he got sent off.Booed of the pitch (he should be used to that).Replaced by a 'Giant' who managed to get himself sent off for two bookables without ever touching the ball.

Poor show Town. It all sounds horribly familiar. Is there a very good reason to change tactics, formation and team selection from a side that won 8-2?

 

I trust we will informed of the reason for the player's unavailabilt - in fact we should demand it. It may of course be for very good reasons.

Why didn't Jim fill the two unfit seats on the bench with Youth team players? Where was Harvey, Dickie, Georgiou?

 

Large squad picked itself on the day!

 

W+F had three attacks and 3 goals! We know how to use Clarkie so why could we not defend against him? Daniel Clarke played to his strength and as we know when Daniel is on form he is on form and unfortunately that was against us!

 

Town were dominating large periods of play but not completer finishing!

 

I'm sorry what I fail to understand is when we desperately need centre-backs with pace the coach goes out and obtains strikers. Can someone explain this to me? This is Jack and the Beanstalk type stuff.

 

On Town fan summed it up to me today saying "I have followed an Enfield side for 60 years and this is the first day I've had to struggle to stay to the final whistle! I was so close to walking out - We need to try a new Manager with new ideas"

 

This isn't good enough and we are all disappointed. Maybe it is time to try a new manager?

Neither Allen or Stephens on recent performances would have made a diffrence, we were shocking, what on earth was that starting formation about? when they scored their second goal both wing backs were in the Finchley half!

It took till the third goal before we moved Campbell out of a back three to right midfield & go to a flat back four.

 

Danny Clarke behaviour just plain embarrasing!

 

Dont know who the huge guy was but he has to be the unluckiest player today, that was two of the softest yellow cards I think ive ever seen, considering the all out assaults going on all over the park.

 

We really are not good enough, in every position, its as simple as that.
